A need was felt for its bilingual edition after One Hundred Poems of Chokha Mela became a prescribed text for MA (Hon.) in English program of the University of Mumbai. Yet, such was the influence of the two founding fathers and other saints of the Varkari Sect that Chokha Mela could compose poetry of the highest order.
