I Gede Widhiana Suarda, S.H., M.Hum., Ph.D. lahir di Denpasar tanggal 10 Februari 1978. Menyelesaikan pendidikan dasar di SDN 5 Peguyangan – Denpasar tahun 1989. Lulus pendidikan menengah pertama di SMPN 10 Denpasar pada tahun 1992. Lulus pendidikan menengah atas di SMAN 2 Denpasar pada tahun 1995. Kemudian, penulis Melanjutkan ke pendidikan tinggi hukum (S-1) di FH Universitas Udayana – Denpasar Bali sejak tahun 1995, dan pendidikan ini diselesaikan pada tahun 2000. Setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan hukum di Universitas Udayana, penulis bekerja sebagai asisten lawyer di daerah Ubud – Gianyar Bali selama kurang lebih 7 bulan. Setelah mengundurkan diri, melanjutkan studi hukum pada Program Studi Magister Ilmu Hukum (S-2) – Program Pascasarjana Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang pada tahun 2001. Konsentrasi yang dipilih adalah bidang hukum pidana. Pendidikan S-2 Ilmu Hukum ini diselesaikan pada Bulan Juli 2003 dan dinyatakan sebagai Lulusan terbaik. Pada bulan November 2013, penulis mulai menempuh program doktoral di School of Justice, Faculty of Law, Queensland University of Techonolgy (QUT), Australia dengan fokus riset tentang terorisme, radikalisasi, dan deradikalisasi narapidana teroris. Pendidikan doktoral ini diselesaikan pada Bulan April tahun 2018. Penulis memulai bekerja sebagai dosen sejak bulan Agustus 2003 di FH Universitas Jember dengan status sebagai tenaga kontrak. Kemudian, pada bulan Desember 2003 diterima sebagai pengajar tetap di lembaga yang sama. Saat ini, kepangkatan dan golongan penulis adalah Pembina/IVa dengan jabatan sebagai Lektor Kepala dalam bidang hukum pidana. Penulis mengajar di program S-1, S-2 Ilmu Hukum, S-2 Ilmu Kenotariatan, dan S-3 Ilmu Hukum FH Universitas Jember. Dalam hal pengelolaan lembaga, penulis pernah bertugas sebagai Sekretaris Jurusan/Bagian antar waktu di Jurusan/Bagian Hukum Pidana FH Universitas Jember (2004—2006); Sekretaris pada Program Non Reguler (S1) FH Universitas Jember (2007-2008); Sekretaris Program Studi Magister Ilmu Hukum pada Program Pascasarjana Universitas Jember (2009—2010); Ketua di Pusat Kajian Anti Korupsi (PUKAT) FH Universitas Jember (2009-2013); sejak awal Tahun 2020 penulis diberikan tugas sebagai Ketua Jurusan/Bagian Hukum Pidana FH Universitas Jember; dan saat ini sedang menjalankan tugas sebagai Wakil Dekan I FH Universitas Jember. Berbagai pelatihan dan kursus pernah diikuti, baik dalam bidang hukum maupun nonhukum. Penulis juga aktif dalam penulisan karya ilmiah, baik yang tidak dipublikasikan maupun yang dipublikasikan. No cultural product reveals our collective fascination with sexual violence more candidly than pornography. Popular heterosexual pornographies showcase scenes of intense sexual aggression and cruelty that are gendered in repetitive, patterned configurations—configurations that are designedto arouse. Purcell uses comparative critical readings of popular U.S. pornographies to illuminate the changing psychosocial foundations of sexually aggressive fantasies. By examining how depictions of violence in pornography have changed over the past forty years, she investigates the evolving desires and anxieties of the genre’s growing U.S. audience. Adopting a thick descriptive approach, she moves beyond the mere observation and recording of instances of sexism and violence, elucidating the changing aesthetics, themes, and conventions of depicted sexual aggression and showing how they have emerged in specific socio-historical contexts. Finally, she draws from a range of industry publications and fan forums to examine the fabric and function of misogyny and violence in people’s fantasies and everyday lives.
