Nesta obra, você encontrará resultados de um estudo que problematizou a escolarização a qual tem possibilitado as pessoas com deficiência acessar o mundo do trabalho. O estudo tratou da relação de proximidade entre as políticas de inclusão e as práticas pedagógicas, que destacam o mundo do trabalho como uma das etapas da formação humana. Nesse sentido, foram escolhidas, como sujeitos da pesquisa, pessoas com deficiência as quais ocupam diferentes funções em nossa sociedade e/ou ainda estão se profissionalizando. Para tal, com base na Teoria Crítica, algumas das questões do estudo foram: quais são as políticas educacionais que se relacionam com a formação para o mundo do trabalho da pessoa com deficiência? Como se estabelece, do ponto de vista legal/político, a passagem da escola para o mundo do trabalho da pessoa com deficiência? A escola regular alicerçou a construção de um "ideário trabalhista" para a pessoa com deficiência? As pessoas com deficiência, inseridas no mundo do trabalho formal, têm seus estudos valorizados? Os resultados da pesquisa revelam que escolas são "pontes" que permitem a transição da pessoa com deficiência para o mundo do trabalho, mas existem limites encontrados no processo educativo que dificultam esse "caminhar".
