Comment peut-on être transhumant en ce début de XXIe siècle ? Comment peut-on l'être dans un pays comme le Tchad, réputé depuis de longues décennies pour son insécurité ? Autant d'interrogations et de défis que le présent ouvrage s'efforce d'éclairer. Et cela de manière originale, en les vivant de l'intérieur. En effet, deux étudiants, l'un tchadien, l'autre expatrié, tous deux arabisants, ont vécu six mois durant dans un campement de chameliers et ont pu observer, au quotidien, les activités de ces familles tout au long de leur transhumance du nord au sud, depuis la fin des pluies jusqu'à la saison froide.
