In den letzten Jahren bestimmten die sogenannten Designerdrogen die Medienlandschaft. Die Heroingebraucher, vor allem die weiblichen, sich prostituierenden Drogenabhängigen, tauchen da höchstens mal im Zusammenhang mit der Ausbreitung des Aids-Virus auf. Doch die wahren Ausmaße dieser Sucht bleiben im Verborgenen. Diese Arbeit soll zeigen, dass der Zustand vieler Beschaffungsprostituierter besorgniserregende Ausmaße annimmt. Dabei werde ich auf Gefahren, Risiken und Probleme der Beschaffungsprostitution eingehen. Das erste Kapitel beinhaltet eine Einschätzung der Zahl an Prostituierten in Deutschland. Außerdem werden Grundinformationen geliefert, wie zum Beispiel der Tagesbedarf oder der Preis einer Beschaffungsprostituierten. Ergänzend kommen die möglichen Formen der Beschaffungsprostitution hinzu. Das medienintensivste Thema in bezug auf die Beschaffungsprostitution, und zwar Aids, soll Thema des folgenden Kapitels sein. Da das Aids-Problem am ehesten im öffentlichen Interesse steht, wird ausführlich über mögliche Infektionswege referiert. Nachfolgend schließt sich dann das Kapitel an, das die extreme Gewaltbelastung von weiblichen Beschaffungsprostituierten aufzeigen soll. Unterschieden wird hier zwischen gewalttätigen Freiern, Zuhältern und konkurrierenden Prostituierten und der Polizeigewalt. Abschließend wird im Kapitel 4, die soziale und gesundheitliche Not der Frauen näher erläutert. Besonderer Bezug wird dabei auf die psychische Belastung, resultierend aus einer Drogenkariere mit Prostitutionserfahrung, die soziale Ausgrenzung und die gesundheitlichen Schäden, genommen. Wobei hier die physischen Schäden resultierend aus Gewalttaten mit eingeschlossen werden müssen, die aber nicht noch mal extra aufgeführt werden. Die Schwierigkeit dieser Arbeit lag darin, die verschieden Kreisläufe einer Drogenkariere zu splitten und dennoch die Zusammenhänge klar werden zu lassen. In der Vorlesung „Sexualpädagogik“ haben wir über den Begriff „Sexualität“ diskutiert und dabei viele verschiedene Bedeutungen aufgezeigt. Dabei wurde mir deutlich, daß Sexualität nicht immer etwas „Schönes“ sein muß, sondern auch mit Gewalt, Ekel, Schuld- und Schamgefühl in Zusammenhang gebracht werden kann. Diese Arbeit gab mir die Möglichkeit mich intensiv damit zu beschäftigen und hintergründige Einblicke in die Situation der betroffenen Frauen zu bekommen.

In the current climate of growing concern about the public health consequences of alcohol consumption, the publication of Alcohol Consumption and Alcohol-Related Problems in Germany is particularly timely. The book provides up-to-date information on consumption patterns and the extent of negative effects associated with alcohol consumption in the German population. Estimates for the prevalence of abstinence, and of low-risk, hazardous, harmful, and high-risk consumption, are derived from epidemiological studies. Hazardous and harmful consumption is clearly associated with a number of psychological, social and health problems, and also has a significant economic impact on society as a whole. Based on information from routine statistics and surveys, the negative consequences associated with alcohol consumption such as dependence, suicide, violence, or traffic accidents are assessed, and methodological problems (such as standardizing alcohol contents) are discussed. In its final section the book contains suggestions about how to establish reasonable limits on consumption and how to communicate these to health professionals and the general public. This report on the negative effects of alcohol consumption may help stimulate discussion, both within Europe and beyond, on the implementation of appropriate measures to reduce abusive alcohol consumption and thus the extent of alcohol-related problems.

Over the last three years Europe and North America have been hit by an unprecedented wave of terrorist attacks perpetrated by individuals motivated by jihadist ideology.
