Phenomenological Structure For The Large Deviation Principle In Time Series Statistics written by Takahiro Nemoto and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-11-06 with Science categories.
This thesis describes a method to control rare events in non-equilibrium systems by applying physical forces to those systems but without relying on numerical simulation techniques, such as copying rare events. In order to study this method, the book draws on the mathematical structure of equilibrium statistical mechanics, which connects large deviation functions with experimentally measureable thermodynamic functions. Referring to this specific structure as the “phenomenological structure for the large deviation principle”, the author subsequently extends it to time-series statistics that can be used to describe non-equilibrium physics. The book features pedagogical explanations and also shows many open problems to which the proposed method can be applied only to a limited extent. Beyond highlighting these challenging problems as a point of departure, it especially offers an effective means of description for rare events, which could become the next paradigm of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics.

This book provides detailed fundamental theoretical reviews and preparations necessary for developing advanced dynamics modeling and control strategies for various types of robotic systems. This research book specifically addresses and discusses the uniqueness issue of representing orientation or rotation, and further proposes an innovative isometric embedding approach. The novel approach can not only reduce the dynamic formulation for robotic systems into a compact form, but it also offers a new way to realize the orientational trajectory-tracking control procedures. In addition, the book gives a comprehensive introduction to fundamentals of mathematics and physics that are required for modeling robot dynamics and developing effective control algorithms. Many computer simulations and realistic 3D animations to verify the new theories and algorithms are included in the book as well. It also presents and discusses the principle of duality involved in robot kinematics, statics, and dynamics. The duality principle can guide the dynamics modeling and analysis into a right direction for a variety of robotic systems in different types from open serial-chain to closed parallel-chain mechanisms. It intends to serve as a diversified research reference to a wide range of audience, including undergraduate juniors and seniors, graduate students, researchers, and engineers interested in the areas of robotics, control and applications.

Most everyday solid materials, from plastics to cosmetic gels, exist in a non-crystalline, amorphous form: they are glasses. Yet we are still seeking an explanation as to what glasses really are and to why they form. In this book, leading experts present broad and original perspectives on one of the deepest mysteries of condensed matter physics.

Modeling Of Physical Systems written by Joseph J. Beaman and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-06-03 with Science categories.
Introductory text on nonlinear and continuous-time dynamic systems using bond graph methodology to enable readers to develop and apply physical system models Through an integrated and uniform approach to system modeling, analysis, and control, Modeling of Physical Systems uses realistic examples to link empirical, analytical, and numerical approaches and provide readers with the essential foundation needed to move towards more advanced topics in systems engineering. Rather than use only a linear modeling methodology, this book also incorporates nonlinear modeling approaches. The authors approach the topic using bond graph methodology, a well-known and highly effective method for the modeling and analysis of multi-energy domain systems at the physical level. With a strong focus on fundamentals, this book begins by reviewing core topics which engineering students will have been exposed to in their first two years of study. It then expands into introducing systematic model development using a bond graph approach. Later chapters expand on the fundamental understanding of systems, with insights regarding how to make decisions on what to model and how much complexity is needed for a particular problem. Written by two professors with nearly a century of combined research and industry experience, Modeling of Physical Systems explores topics including: Basic Kirchoff systems, covering mechanical translation and rotation, electrical, hydraulic, and thermal systems, and ideal couplers A complete introduction to bond graph methods and their application to practical engineering system modeling Computer-based analysis and simulation, covering algebraic analysis of system equation and semi-analytical analysis for linear system response Multiport fields, distributed systems and transmission elements, covering heat and magnetism power lines and wave propagation modeling with W- and H-Lines Signal and power in measurement and control, covering derivative control and effect of feedback Modeling of Physical Systems is an essential learning resource for mechanical, mechatronics, and aerospace engineering students at the graduate and senior graduate level. The text is also valuable for professional engineers and researchers, controls engineers, and computer scientists seeking an understanding of engineering system modeling.

Structural Mathematical Modeling Applications In Technological Machines And Transportation Vehicles written by Eliseev, Andrey and has been published by IGI Global this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-06-09 with Mathematics categories.
As technology continues to advance, the complexity of technological machines and transportation vehicles increases, presenting new challenges in assessing their dynamic properties. A thorough explanation of new forms of construction of mathematical models that take into account the potential occurrence of new standard links in the initial oscillatory structures is needed for a comprehensive solution to the challenges posed by the dynamics of machines. Structural Mathematical Modeling Applications in Technological Machines and Transportation Vehicles by Andrey Eliseev evaluates solutions on how to accurately assess the dynamic properties of modern machines. Eliseev's in-depth analysis of the interconnectedness of the processes of studying the state of the technical object, evaluating its dynamic properties, and solving specific problems of dynamic interaction of machine elements provides a unique perspective on the challenges posed by machine dynamics. This book is an essential resource for specialists in the field of research, design, and calculations of technical objects exposed to dynamic loads, as well as students and postgraduates of technical specialties related to the application of system analysis and mathematical modeling.
