Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Persönlichkeitspsychologie, Note: Bachelor, Universität Wien (Institute of Psychology), Veranstaltung: Bachelorseminar, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Pflegekinder stellen aufgrund ihrer negativen Erfahrungen von Misshandlung, Vernachlässigung und Missbrauch in ihrer Herkunftsfamilie, sowie dem Erleben meist mehrfacher Bindungsabbrüche eine besonders belastete Gruppe dar. Sie entwickeln seltener sichere, jedoch häufig desorganisierte Bindungsmuster, begleitet von starken Verhaltensauffälligkeiten. Entgegen der Annahme, dass der Bruch früherer Bindungen und/oder die schlechte Qualität früherer Beziehungen nicht löschbare Spuren bei den Kindern hinterlassen, zeigen Studien, dass die Effekte früher negativer Erfahrungen durch die Möglichkeit neue positive Bindungen zu bilden, moderiert werden können. Pflegekinder können, trotz negativer Herkunftserfahrungen sichere Bindungen zu den Ersatzeltern aufbauen. Jedoch nur, wenn die Pflegeeltern autonom im Geisteszustand, fürsorglich, nährend, sensitiv sowie verfügbar sind und dem Kind eine permanente Pflege gewährleisten. Kinder, die früh, also vor ihrem zwölften Lebensmonat, bei einer Pflegefamilie untergebracht werden, entwickeln wahrscheinlicher sichere Bindungen zu ihren neuen Bezugspersonen als Kinder die spät fremduntergebracht werden. Erstere haben einerseits kürzer an Deprivation und anderen Widrigkeiten gelitten und andererseits befinden sie sich noch im Stadium der Bindungsentwicklung. Psychologische und externe Unterstützung der Beteiligten einer Pflege-Kind Dyade ist essentiell für die Entwicklung und Aufrechterhaltung einer sicheren Bindung.

Auf die von Bowlby aufgestellten vier Phasen der Bindungsentwicklung wird im Rahmen dieser Arbeit nicht eingegangen, da sich für die Bindungsentwicklung in der Pflegefamilie die Integrationstheorie von Monika Nienstedt und Arnim Westermann besser eignet. Die Integrationstheorie wird nach den Zielen und der Motivation der Pflegeeltern dargestellt.
