In the Epistle of Jude, Jude writes that he was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share. Jude 1:3 Eternal Life, or the after life is interpreted differently by different religions. There is Avast difference between the worlds religions, and Christian denominations. World religions do not include salvation; saved by faith through grace. Where as in Christianity we are saved by our faith in The Lord Jesus Christ through the grace he extends to those who believe. The bible has much to say about this;, when do to get saved, today, where, any where, how, call on the name of the Lord for forgiveness. Eternal life that is eternal, not temporary. We have been chosen, called, drawn, enabled, qualified and sealed by God to God through our Lord Jesus Christ into an eternal kingdom.

Christopher Wright uses this verse as a lens through which he surveys the Bible’s teaching on 'salvation’. Every phrase in the verse resonates with significant themes in the Old and New Testaments, all of which combine to show that the Bible tells the story of God’s salvation very broadly indeed, in relation to the character and purposes of God, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the redemption of all creation, the joy of Christian experience and the responsibility of Christian mission. This clear, deep and warm-hearted exposition enriches our grasp of the Bible’s multi-faceted teaching about salvation.

Since the late 1980s the theme of God's self-revelation has been treated only briefly in Christian theology, at times simply ignored, and often confused with biblical inspiration. Revelation: Towards a Christian Theology of God's Self-Revelation lays out its basic characteristics, and begins by distinguishing between revelation in the primary sense (a living encounter with God's self-disclosure) and in the secondary sense (statements of faith derived from that encounter, or 'propositional' revelation). It considers revelation as transforming and informing, as being 'sacramental' or mediated through words and deeds, as communicated through an endless variety of means and mediators, as related to but distinct from biblical inspiration and truth, and as reaching those of 'other' faiths or of no faith at all. Gerald O'Collins skilfully distinguishes between past (or 'foundational') revelation, present (or 'dependent') revelation, and future (or 'eschatological') revelation. He expounds with ecumenical sensitivity the complex relationship between tradition and scripture. O'Collins moves into controversial areas by insisting that the divine self- revelation takes place only when received by human faith and that 'outside revelation there is no salvation (extra revelationem nulla salus'). This volume offers a coherent account of God's self-revelation, which can serve as a basis for all that follows in theology and for dialogue with those who follow 'other' living faiths or none at all. O'Collins extends and enriches what he has proposed in earlier books and articles about the characteristics of God's self-revelation.

The originality of the Johannine presentation of the gospel has long been recognized by commentators and has been the subject of endless research and discussion. It is indeed impossible for any one man to master all the literature on the subject. The originality of the Johannine presentation of the gospel has long been recognized by commentators and has been the subject of endless research and discussion. It is indeed impossible for any one man to master all the literature on the subject. The discussion has ranged over a wide spectrum of problems, such as the date and authenticity of the gospel, its sources, literary unity, and historical value, its dependence on or independence from the synoptic gospels, the influence of the Hellenistic world on the author's thought, his Jewish background, and his own purpose ans personal contribution to the presentation of Jesus in the gospel. All this study has not been fruitless, so that one is justified in speaking of a new look in Johannine studies today, even among Catholic commentators. Since the publication of the John Rylands Papyrus 457 and more so since the discovery of the Qumran Literature, no one today hesitates about dating the gospel towards the close of the first century A.D. at the latest. The exact identity of the author is not as burning a question today as it was fifty years ago. On the one hand, literary authorship by John the son of Zebedee is no longer insisted upon even by Catholic authors.

The book of Revelation is first and foremost a revelation about Jesus, not just the future. Even the title of the book suggests this: "THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST." The focus is not just the future, it is the power of God in control of the future. Jesus in the Gospels is the man of sorrow, acquainted with grief, pierced with our iniquities, etc. But here John reveals Christ as the King of Glory! Jesus here is the conqueror, the one in charge of history, the one who alone controls the future, controls the nations, controls all the universe! This is the Jesus who is coming! The book of Revelation shows us the glorified Christ and the certainty of His ruling over all things. We are not stumbling toward an uncertain future, but we will not enjoy this future if we are not in fellowship with the King!We must see this Jesus for faith in the future! This revelation is given to rouse the church to impact the world, to get its own house in order, and to be at the ready for Christ's triumphant return. The church cannot take the luxury of deciding it has plenty of time. There is a sense of immediacy and urgency to the book of Revelation. The early church expected Christ's return at any moment and so should we. We are closer now to His return than at any other time in history! To figure out the date of Jesus' second coming, or who the person will be who will become the Antichrist, is not the thrust of the book. The thrust of The Revelation of Jesus Christ is to reveal Jesus Christ and His control over tomorrow and to be ready for the future when it gets here! And it will get here! And only those who belong to Christ will welcome it and benefit from it.Are you ready for the future?

The book of Revelation reveals Christ in His power and glory and the future as under God's control. The book of Revelation is often ignored in Bible study groups, and even by preachers because of the difficult symbolism and sometimes vague-sounding visions, but it is the one book in the Bible that God promises a special blessing to those who simply read it. With God’s help, I hope to convince many of you about the great salvation in understanding the book of Revelation. From the very outset, John the Apostle wrote that these things must soon come to pass (Rev. 1:1–3). This message is from Jesus Christ himself, a message of God’s power and authority, of his judgment upon evil mankind, and most importantly, the redemption and ultimate salvation of all those who trust in Jesus for their salvation. Revelation is the climax of a six-thousand-year adventure, part of the story of God’s great love for us who believe and of salvation that leads to eternal life for all who “keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus” (Rev. 12:17 and 14:12). Revelation is the last part of the greatest book ever written, the Holy Bible. However, the majority of ministers have misinterpreted its contents. With the entire Bible as our backdrop, Jesus’s angel, whom he sent to John, brought a message about our future to the apostle John (apostle is Greek for “sent one”). John didn’t read these words, but like a hologram right out of Star Wars, John witnesses future events that surround Jesus’s second coming. He sees them in 3D realism, being right there to witness and write down what he saw for our sakes. Read and be saved!
