When I first knew by chance about the manuscript which nobody can't read or understand its content, I felt curious to know more about the misterious manuscript, but I had no intention to decipher its text or understand the meaning of its illustrations. From time to time I had a look at articles written about the Voynich manuscript, but, at a certain point, I felt that it was impossible to say something definitely about the cipher and its content and desisted. The more I read less I didn't understand and felt much less sure about its meaning since everything was contradictory and vague.

Class III problems are considered practically unsolvable in cryptology, but none has resisted cryptanalytic attack as persistently as the Voynich Manuscript. In the first installment of this 4-volume set, we present the linguistic and affix analysis that preceded the first complete but approximate translation of the entire manuscript. This contrasts with the piecemeal approach of all prior solutions that resulted in wildly divergent translations of minuscule selections of the text. This systemic attack on the entirety of the text and its unusual distributional features (such as extreme platykurtia, which forbid translation into any natural language) resulted first in superior transcription stability and an equally stable symbol set, based on intensive statistical analysis. The encoding scheme employs a 20-22 letter alphabetic script that most closely resembles a slot-and-filler, top-down, a priori pasigraphic system, with oligo-agglutinative features that are currently only considered a theoretical possibility in the linguistics field. The intricate affixing system is based mainly on precise placement of single letters to denote case roles, semantic classes and 3 primary parts of speech (exhibiting a strong noun surfeit). At the phrase level we find dominant SOV order and head-final, dependent-marked grammar compatible with heavily formatted, inline pharmaceutical lists; these result in short ranges of actionable information, which no competing solution can claim. Plant descriptions are demoted in comparison to other herbals, in favor of processing and dispensing details. This approximate solution is based on fuzzy set analysis techniques integrated with linguistic universals, a wide range of common statistics (Pareto and Sukhotin scores, Zipf slopes, Indexes of Coincidence, Agglutination and Synthesis and dozens of others) and many home-brewed fuzzy algorithms implemented in T-SQL and VB.Net, after the inadequacy of many advanced data mining techniques was demonstrated. Our methodology was validated when the project reached an inflection point, beyond which we were able to predict the identities and properties of plants based on the text alone. The project ended with plausible identification candidates for 121 of 126 herbal section plants and 7 others elsewhere in the manuscript, far beyond that of other published solutions. An incredible 100% of the 133 identified plants have dermatological uses. These can be divided into prominent subtopics like treatment of bites; anthelmintics; rheumatism and other musculo-skeletal ailments; inflammatory skin disorders; external and possibly menstrual bleeding; excision of blemishes; application of cosmetics; and cures dispensable in baths. The centerpiece of the manuscript is the "Rosette Folio," which depicts the grand design of a medieval bathhouse, keyed to specific astrological timings also defined by satellite diagrams following a precedence hierarchy. Each of these uses exhibit telltale polygraph correlations that fall into a handful of semantic hierarchies constructed from highly similar bases, such as skin color based diagnostic criteria, remedies/solutions, problems/diseases, plant parts and the like. These findings require 2 volumes to demonstrate and another volume of data and other supplementary material. Despite this complexity, they culminate in a drastic simplification of the script and the first-ever comprehensive translation of the Voynich Manuscript in Volume IV, albeit at low resolution.

The Voynich manuscript is famous among enthusiasts of arcana, rare books, and cryptography. It is a 200+ page color rare book written in a cipher that has resisted decryption to this day. It is named after a Polish rare book dealer who surfaced the manuscript in 1912. Its history and provenance are uncertain. Many people have been proposed as possible authors, among them Roger Bacon, John Dee or Edward Kelley, Giovanni Fontana, and Voynich. This 80-page book contains the proceedings of a one-day seminar on the Voynich manuscript, held in Washington, DC on 30 November 1976, notable for the prominence of personnel of the National Security Agency, which was at the time even more deeply shrouded in secrecy than it remains today. The contents include: General Introduction. Very Filby, Sponsor. Introductory Remarks. M.E. D'Imperio, Moderator. A Linguistic Approach to the Voynich Text. James Child. Some Important New Statistical Findings. Capt. Prescott Currier. Suggestions Toward a Decipherment of the "Key". Dr. Sydney Fairbanks. The Solution Claim of Dr. Robert S. Brumbaugh. M. E. D'Imperio. Further Details of New Statistical Findings. Capt. Prescott Currier. Questions and Discussion. Appendix A. The Voynich Manuscript, Some Notes and Observations. Capt. Prescott Currier. Appendix B. What Constitutes Proof? Stuart H. Buck. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires that each federal agency maintain an electronic Reading Room with most frequently requested documents. The FOIA Reading Room series presents selected items from each agency's Reading Room, in this case, the National Security Agency, whose many cryptographers have maintained an interest in the Voynich manuscript for many decades. Readers who enjoy works like THE DA VINCI CODE, PUZZLE PALACE, and SNOWDEN will find this an appealing purchase. Why was the NSA deeply interested in the Voynich manuscript in 1976? What were they thinking? There is no substitute for looking at primary documents and real-time work product to understand how people's minds were actually working in history.

Preface: An obsession can be both pleasure and pain. The endeavor to get this book out to the public regarding a translation of the Voynich Manuscript attributed to my inner being's distress and joy. I had night sweats, severe back spasms and at times jubilation while in the process of taking on the Mt. Everest of ciphers. Since 2009 the Voynich Manuscript has been out front or within the recesses of my mind. Finally, this project has reached its peak and I have spiked down the flag of Latin as the language for the Voynich Manuscript. As you will see without a doubt this translation will give you a new look and appreciation for this complex cipher and understanding the contents of the Voynich Manuscript. Many people have numerous ideas about what the Voynich Manuscript is or rather what the text is about. There have been suppositions that the text is a hoax, made up language, angelic writings and even alien code. This book unlocks the true nature of the text behind the code of the Voynich Manuscript. Moreover, I will provide many pictures and examples of why its origin is Latin. For instance, the word, "wild-ox" was found in the Taurus section of folio 72r1 translated from Voynich to Latin to English. I will give you profound discoveries and examples of why I know the Voynich text is Latin. The cipher I designed does not include the back slashes or the gallows of the Voynich code within this picture. At the turn of the 20th century a Polish book dealer named Wilfrid Voynich found the mysterious manuscript at Villa Mondragone, Italy in 1912. Like many before and after him, decoding the manuscript occurred in vain. The Voynich Manuscript resides at Beinecke, Yale University library, under high security. Here at this link is all the history of the Voynich Manuscript. https: //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voynich_manuscript Decoding a ciphered text usually starts with trying to find out the language used. Once that language is chosen a letter frequency analysis is done on the code to seek out the most used glyphs and often time vowels are sought. Then a comparison of the language code with a letter frequency analysis like Latin can be applied. A grueling process of trying to figure out vowels of the Voynich is done by matching them to Latin vowels and seeing if the percentages of the glyphs to letters are similar. Now, associations are made on small Voynich words to Latin words for finding some consistency in the cipher. After many years of assuming that the Voynich was anagrammed and a Polyalphabetical Transposition Cipher, my hypothesis turned out to be correct. How I knew I was on track is when I decoded the tripartite within the spiral of folio 68v1 known as a spiral; which, most assumed was a galaxy. It turned out to be a ledger in this following image. Below is the translation for 68v1. This folio could turn out to have some Orion or Milky Way details. Latin: "Subeo tue alni eunt sena unde a 654 as anuli quiri set" English: "Enter your alder sold, six each; where from 654 coin, ring able but"

Unraveling the Voynich Codex reviews the historical, botanical, zoological, and iconographic evidence related to the Voynich Codex, one of the most enigmatic historic texts of all time. The bizarre Voynich Codex has often been referred to as the most mysterious book in the world. Discovered in an Italian Catholic college in 1912 by a Polish book dealer Wilfrid Voynich, it was eventually bequeathed to the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Yale University. It contains symbolic language that has defied translation by eminent cryptologists. The codex is encyclopedic in scope and contains sections known as herbal, pharmaceutical, balenological (nude nymphs bathing in pools), astrological, cosmological and a final section of text that may be prescriptions but could be poetry or incantations. Because the vellum has been carbon dated to the early 15th century and the manuscript was known to be in the collection of Emperor Rudolf II of the Holy Roman Empire sometime between 1607 and 1622, current dogma had assumed it a European manuscript of the 15th century. However, based on identification of New World plants, animals, a mineral, as well as cities and volcanos of Central Mexico, the authors of this book reveal that the codex is clearly a document of colonial New Spain. Furthermore, the illustrator and author are identified as native to Mesoamerica based on a name and ligated initials in the first botanical illustration. This breakthrough in Voynich studies indicates that the failure to decipher the manuscript has been the result of a basic misinterpretation of its origin in time and place. Tentative assignment of the Voynichese symbols also provides a key to decipherment based on Mesoamerican languages. A document from this time, free from filter or censor from either Spanish or Inquisitorial authorities has major importance in our understanding of life in 16th century Mexico. Publisher's Note: For the eBook editions, Voynichese symbols are only rendered properly in the PDF format.

*Includes pictures *Includes contemporary accounts describing the manuscript and attempts to decipher it *Includes online resources and a bibliography for further reading "Yet it may be roundly asserted that human ingenuity cannot concoct a cipher which human ingenuity cannot resolve." - Edgar Allan Poe, excerpt from "A Few Words On Secret Writing," 1841 For as long as language and communication have existed, humans have been inventing ways to mask their messages from prying eyes. Military and diplomatic officials often devise secret codes to transmit sensitive data and confidential information to approved parties. This practice has become so commonplace in recent years that entire sciences, hobbies, and fully fledged professions have been established to decipher these cryptic texts, called "cryptographers." Needless to say, these revolutionary methods of cryptography, though historic, are now considered archaic. Their simplistic secrets have been disclosed to the general public, and even incorporated into children's toys geared towards aspiring spies. With the bulk of modern civilization so dependent on the virtual world, secret codes have evolved to a whole new level, most notably through data encryption. Data encryption, which aims to conceal classified electronic information through the use of complex ciphers and algorithms, was initially used for governmental and military purposes, but it now acts as the primary medium of security that most online platforms (as of January 2017, at least half of them) provide for their users. As intricate and inextricable as data encryption might seem to people today, a growing number of brilliant but devious minds continue to successfully find ways to bypass supposedly state-of-the-art encryption software, rendering the efforts of the enormous teams employed to handle online security void. As a matter of fact, stories of unscrupulous hackers stealing episodes of popular TV shows and threatening to unleash them before their release dates, as well as reprobates poaching private images of unfortunate victims for ransom, are becoming increasingly commonplace. Meanwhile, government agencies are staffed with full-type cryptanalysts dedicated to retrieving encrypted intelligence and decoding them in the hopes of learning more about or thwarting potential domestic and foreign threats. With such incisive minds constantly at work, one could be forgiven for assuming there are no ciphers left unsolved. On the contrary, there exists quite a diverse array of both ancient and modern-day cryptographic challenges that have stumped even the most seasoned code crackers of today, and maybe even for generations to come. Among the most famous of these mysterious memorandums is a 600 year old document that continues to mystify those that lay their eyes upon it, whether it is for the first time or the millionth time: the one and only Voynich Manuscript. The Voynich Manuscript: The History of the Mysterious Renaissance Codex that Has Never Been Deciphered explores the history of the cryptic codex, the minds that attempted to tackle it, and aims to examine both credible and ludicrous interpretations and theories from various angles. Along with pictures depicting important people, places, and events, you will learn about the Voynich Manuscript like never before.

This Book is in full Color! Why has the VMS attracted so much attention from amateur and professional cryptographers, programmers, linguists and art historians? Truly I believe that at first glance by all it looks like the VMS text can be read. That in the moment of the first glance it looks simple, but once fully invested the person realizes the VMS is highly complex. For what it's worth, what I have found is the translation is impressive. Language frequencies have been applied to the VMS without finding any consistent language that fits a straight across translation. This has led some to believe the VMS is a hoax or an invented language. I believe the latter! What would cause so many failed attempts at decoding the VMS? The author would invent a language as a cipher of scrambled letters replacing words to numbers in the invented language and to further complicate it, make it look like a known language. What I propose is that the VMS glyphs have been strategically placed and that the letter values being numbers are of Middle English Gematria origin. This is known as ordinal gematria.
