Spectral theory of bounded linear operators teams up with von Neumann’s theory of unbounded operators in this monograph to provide a general framework for the study of stable methods for the evaluation of unbounded operators. An introductory chapter provides numerous illustrations of unbounded linear operators that arise in various inverse problems of mathematical physics. Before the general theory of stabilization methods is developed, an extensive exposition of the necessary background material from the theory of operators on Hilbert space is provided. Several specific stabilization methods are studied in detail, with particular attention to the Tikhonov-Morozov method and its iterated version.

Stability Of Nonautonomous Differential Equations written by Luis Barreira and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-09-26 with Mathematics categories.
This volume covers the stability of nonautonomous differential equations in Banach spaces in the presence of nonuniform hyperbolicity. Topics under discussion include the Lyapunov stability of solutions, the existence and smoothness of invariant manifolds, and the construction and regularity of topological conjugacies. The exposition is directed to researchers as well as graduate students interested in differential equations and dynamical systems, particularly in stability theory.

Stability Of Queueing Networks written by Maury Bramson and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-06-26 with Mathematics categories.
Queueing networks constitute a large family of stochastic models, involving jobs that enter a network, compete for service, and eventually leave the network upon completion of service. Since the early 1990s, substantial attention has been devoted to the question of when such networks are stable. This volume presents a summary of such work. Emphasis is placed on the use of fluid models in showing stability, and on examples of queueing networks that are unstable even when the arrival rate is less than the service rate. The material of this volume is based on a series of nine lectures given at the Saint-Flour Probability Summer School 2006. Lectures were also given by Alice Guionnet and Steffen Lauritzen.

A Concise Course On Stochastic Partial Differential Equations written by Claudia Prévôt and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-06-08 with Mathematics categories.
These lectures concentrate on (nonlinear) stochastic partial differential equations (SPDE) of evolutionary type. There are three approaches to analyze SPDE: the "martingale measure approach", the "mild solution approach" and the "variational approach". The purpose of these notes is to give a concise and as self-contained as possible an introduction to the "variational approach". A large part of necessary background material is included in appendices.

The Ricci Flow In Riemannian Geometry written by Ben Andrews and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011 with Mathematics categories.
This book focuses on Hamilton's Ricci flow, beginning with a detailed discussion of the required aspects of differential geometry, progressing through existence and regularity theory, compactness theorems for Riemannian manifolds, and Perelman's noncollapsing results, and culminating in a detailed analysis of the evolution of curvature, where recent breakthroughs of Böhm and Wilking and Brendle and Schoen have led to a proof of the differentiable 1/4-pinching sphere theorem.

Parameter Estimation In Stochastic Differential Equations written by Jaya P. N. Bishwal and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-09-26 with Mathematics categories.
Parameter estimation in stochastic differential equations and stochastic partial differential equations is the science, art and technology of modeling complex phenomena. The subject has attracted researchers from several areas of mathematics. This volume presents the estimation of the unknown parameters in the corresponding continuous models based on continuous and discrete observations and examines extensively maximum likelihood, minimum contrast and Bayesian methods.

Iterative Approximation Of Fixed Points written by Vasile Berinde and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-04-20 with Mathematics categories.
This monograph gives an introductory treatment of the most important iterative methods for constructing fixed points of nonlinear contractive type mappings. For each iterative method considered, it summarizes the most significant contributions in the area by presenting some of the most relevant convergence theorems. It also presents applications to the solution of nonlinear operator equations as well as the appropriate error analysis of the main iterative methods.
