This IBM® Redbooks® publication will help you design and manage an end-to-end, extended distance connectivity architecture for IBM System z®. This solution addresses your requirements now, and positions you to make effective use of new technologies in the future. Many enterprises implement extended distance connectivity in a silo manner. However, effective extended distance solutions require the involvement of different teams within an organization. Typically there is a network group, a storage group, a systems group, and possibly other teams. The intent of this publication is to help you design and manage a solution that will provide for all of your System z extended distance needs in the most effective and flexible way possible. This book introduces an approach to help plan, optimize, and maintain all of the moving parts of the solution together.

Advanced Topics In Nonlinear Control Systems written by T. P. Leung and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Over the last 50 years or so, a number of textbooks, monographs and even popular books have been published on nonlinear control theory and design methods. In the area of classical control, for example, there exist books concerned with phase-plane analysis, describing function approach, absolute stability and so on. In the area of modern control there are those related to optimal control, using differential geometry and the differential algebra method, variable structural control, H-infinite control and so on. These books have been useful in promoting the development of automatic control science and technology. Since 1990 there have been many new results and contributions in the area of nonlinear control. This book introduces those topics to interested readers. It will also benefit automation engineers, researchers and scholars in related fields.

The purpose of this book is to present a self-contained description of the fun damentals of the theory of nonlinear control systems, with special emphasis on the differential geometric approach. The book is intended as a graduate text as weil as a reference to scientists and engineers involved in the analysis and design of feedback systems. The first version of this book was written in 1983, while I was teach ing at the Department of Systems Science and Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis. This new edition integrates my subsequent teaching experience gained at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1987, at the Carl-Cranz Gesellschaft in Oberpfaffenhofen in 1987, at the University of California in Berkeley in 1988. In addition to a major rearrangement of the last two Chapters of the first version, this new edition incorporates two additional Chapters at a more elementary level and an exposition of some relevant research findings which have occurred since 1985.

Linear Discrete Time Systems written by Zoran M. Buchevats and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-11-22 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book covers crucial lacunae of the linear discrete-time time-invariant dynamical systems and introduces the reader to their treatment, while functioning under real, natural conditions, in forced regimes with arbitrary initial conditions. It provides novel theoretical tools necessary for the analysis and design of the systems operating in stated conditions. The text completely covers two well-known systems, IO and ISO, along with a new system, IIO. It discovers the concept of the full transfer function matrix F(z) in the z-complex domain, which incorporates the Z-transform of the system, input and another variable, vectors, all with arbitrary initial conditions. Consequently, it addresses the full system matrix P(z) and the full block diagram technique based on the use of F(z), which incorporates the Z-transform of the system, input and another variable, vectors, all with arbitrary initial conditions. The book explores the direct relationship between the system full transfer function matrix F(z) and the Lyapunov stability concept, definitions, and conditions, as well as with the BI stability concept, definitions, and conditions. The goal of the book is to unify the study and applications of all three classes of the linear discrete-time time-invariant system, for short systems.

Systems with sub-processes evolving on many different time scales are ubiquitous in applications: chemical reactions, electro-optical and neuro-biological systems, to name just a few. This volume contains papers that expose the state of the art in mathematical techniques for analyzing such systems. Recently developed geometric ideas are highlighted in this work that includes a theory of relaxation-oscillation phenomena in higher dimensional phase spaces. Subtle exponentially small effects result from singular perturbations implicit in certain multiple time scale systems. Their role in the slow motion of fronts, bifurcations, and jumping between invariant tori are all explored here. Neurobiology has played a particularly stimulating role in the development of these techniques and one paper is directed specifically at applying geometric singular perturbation theory to reveal the synchrony in networks of neural oscillators.

Tensor Network States And Effective Particles For Low Dimensional Quantum Spin Systems written by Laurens Vanderstraeten and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-08-10 with Science categories.
This thesis develops new techniques for simulating the low-energy behaviour of quantum spin systems in one and two dimensions. Combining these developments, it subsequently uses the formalism of tensor network states to derive an effective particle description for one- and two-dimensional spin systems that exhibit strong quantum correlations. These techniques arise from the combination of two themes in many-particle physics: (i) the concept of quasiparticles as the effective low-energy degrees of freedom in a condensed-matter system, and (ii) entanglement as the characteristic feature for describing quantum phases of matter. Whereas the former gave rise to the use of effective field theories for understanding many-particle systems, the latter led to the development of tensor network states as a description of the entanglement distribution in quantum low-energy states.
