With repeated exposure to the stories, kids internalize the messages, reinforcing self-discipline and motivation. Each sentence and picture has been carefully constructed to be specific and logical to a child's mind. Very descriptive of each point, even very young children can "read" the pictures and understand the message. Most importantly, students get their internal motivations (benefits) from appropriate talking, following directions, and not being disruptive in class. When a child understands their own benefit, they repeat the desired behavior, reinforcing it and it becomes habitual.
