The letter of 1 Peter is sometimes known as the letter of the living hope. Its a letter written by a shepherd who wants to make sure his flock has good instructions on how to live a godly life. The author is Peter, one of Jesus twelve disciples. Silas was Peters scribe. In Feed My Sheep, author and longtime pastor, Fritz Lenk presents a commentary on Peter and uses it as a tool for spiritual growth for Christians. Topics range from holy living, obedience to authorities, and family relations. It further touches on such subjects as suffering injustice at the hand of men and suffering for Jesus sake. It: Offers praises to God for living hope and encouragement to live a holy life Discusses why Christians should abstain from sinful desires, obey earthly authorities, and follow Christs example Points out the obligations of wives and husbands, warning all believers to be compassionate, humble, and live in harmony with one another Tells why in times of suffering, Christians should still praise God Provides instructions for church overseers, admonishing them to practice humility, trust in God, and be alert of the times The commentary, previously published in the German Gospel Trumpet, illuminates Peters message in an easy and understanding way and can help Christians who are seeking to grow in their faith.

This book expresses concern for the spiritual growth and development of the people in God's house. It seeks to convey the vision behind God's plan helping church leaders evaluate their current work in feeding sheep. This book is for those who lack clarity in seeing the bigger picture and those whose attempts met with obstacles ending in frustration. This book creates an opportunity for church leaders to regroup and begin again having mastered the thinking behind God's plan. For the individual follower of Christ serious about his or her spiritual maturity, the book underscores the role of personal responsibility in the feeding process. It aids the reader in grasping the layers of spiritual development and understanding how each stage is critical to overall progress. All in all, this book is a timely addition to the book shelf with its frank biblically sound assessment and review. The use of imagery seeks to present a diverse subject in easily digested chunks so that even young readers can benefit. Use the book for group or self-study. Or throw it into the mix with your current training program.

Shepherding written by Stephen Kaung and has been published by Christian Fellowship Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-06-17 with Religion categories.

Shepherding is one of the important functions in the church. It is not only one of the gifted people whom God gives to the church for the perfecting of the saints (see Ephesians 4:11-12 where pastors should be shepherds) It is also one of the main functions of the elders of the church (see I Peter 5:1). Indeed, it is expected of all the spiritual members of the church to be engaged in such a work. Our Lord’s words to Peter were “feed my lambs”, “shepherd my sheep”, and “feed my sheep” (see John 21:15-17). For this reason, it is required of us to know what the functions of shepherding are and also the qualifications. This series of three messages on shepherding is prepared for the promoting of God’s work and the strengthening of this important but sadly lacking ministry in the church. May God use it for His glory.

Feed My Lambs written by Charles Haddon Spurgeon and has been published by Independently Published this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-09-05 with Religion categories.

Is it possible for a child to get saved? Well, this question may seem to have an obvious answer. However, the implications of this answer are not as simple as the answer. Why? Because, as the Prince of Preachers noted, many believers and even pastors act and treat those children who sincerely desire to follow Christ as if their answer to the question would be totally different. In this book, Spurgeon diagnoses a disease that was and is widespread in the Evangelical community - child salvation not taken seriously - and then offers biblical and practical advice on how to avoid this, and how to use biblical wisdom and discernment to lead our children to Christ while at the same time on how to avoid giving our children a false assurance of salvation. This book has been originally published in 1897. This edition has been edited for modern readers, typeset for eBook readers, and proofread. About the author: Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was born in Kelvedon, Essex, England. He converted to Christianity in 1850 at a small Methodist chapel, and shortly after that he began his own ministry of preaching and teaching, and preached more than 500 sermons by the age of 20. During his ministry, he preached to more than 10 million people, wrote tens of books, and published his sermons in over 25,000 copies on a weekly basis. Charles Spurgeon suffered from poor health and he died on January 31, 1892, and was buried in London.
