Dazu muss man wissen, dass es in Texas schon Marshals gab, als Texas noch nicht zu den Vereinigten Staaten gehörte. Nachdem es dann als souveräner Staat den Vereinigten Staaten beitrat, blieb die Einrichtung der Texas‐Marshals noch lange Zeit bestehen.
