"The Association Method" by Carl Gustav Jung is a seminal work in the field of psychoanalysis, presenting a comprehensive exploration of a fundamental technique used in understanding the human psyche. Jung introduces readers to the association method, a psychotherapeutic tool designed to access unconscious thoughts, emotions, and memories through free association. In this book, Jung elucidates the principles and applications of the association method, providing insights into its use as a means of uncovering underlying psychological patterns, conflicts, and complexes. Through a series of case studies and clinical examples, Jung illustrates how the association method can facilitate the process of self-discovery, psychological healing, and personal growth. With clarity and depth, Jung explores the dynamics of the association process, emphasizing its role in revealing the unconscious contents of the mind and shedding light on the deeper layers of the psyche. He discusses the significance of symbols, dreams, and fantasies in the associative process, demonstrating how they can provide valuable insights into the individual's inner world. "The Association Method" offers readers a profound understanding of Jung's innovative approach to psychotherapy and his belief in the importance of exploring the unconscious for achieving psychological integration and wholeness. This book serves as an indispensable resource for psychologists, therapists, students, and anyone interested in delving into the mysteries of the human mind. With its blend of theoretical insights and practical applications, "The Association Method" remains a timeless contribution to the field of psychology, highlighting Jung's enduring influence and significance as one of the most influential figures in the history of psychoanalysis.

This innovative work provides a state-of-the-art overview of current thinking about the development of brand strategy. Unlike other books on branding, it approaches successful brand strategy from both the producer and consumer perspectives. "The Science and Art of Branding" makes clear distinctions among the producer's intentions, external brand realities, and consumer's brand perceptions - and explains how to fit them all together to build successful brands. Co-author Sandra Moriarty is also the author of the leading Principles of Advertising textbook, and she and Giep Franzen have filled this volume with practical learning tools for scholars and students of marketing and marketing communications, as well as actual brand managers. The book explains theoretical concepts and illustrates them with real-life examples that include case studies and findings from large-scale market research. Every chapter opens with a mini-case history, and boxed inserts featuring quotes from experts appear throughout the book. "The Science and Art of Branding" also goes much more deeply than other works into the core concept of brand equity, employing new measurement systems only developed over the last few years.

This presentation of Jung's psychotherapy is intended to give a condensed picture and an introduction to his extensive publications and method of therapy. Jung popularised the terms 'introvert and extravert', interpreted the deeper conscious levels, and established psychotherapy as the treatment of disorders. His theory of 'psychic energy' emphasised a final point of view as against a purely causal one. His discovery and exploration of the 'collective unconscious', with its 'archetypes' was an impersonal substratum underlying the 'personal unconscious'; the concept of the psyche as a 'self-regulating system' expressing itself in the process of 'individualisation'. Jung's latter work included dreams and drawings interpretation, symbolism, myths, historical antecedents, physics... Thus, Jung's work has become of great importance for medicine, psychology, anthropology, religion, art, history, literature, etc...

“Diagnostics in Plant Breeding” is systematically organizing cutting-edge research reviews on the development and application of molecular tools for the prediction of plant performance. Given its significance for mankind and the available research resources, medical sciences are leading the area of molecular diagnostics, where DNA-based risk assessments for various diseases and biomarkers to determine their onset become increasingly available. So far, most research in plant genomics has been directed towards understanding the molecular basis of biological processes or phenotypic traits. From a plant breeding perspective, however, the main interest is in predicting optimal genotypes based on molecular information for more time- and cost-efficient breeding schemes. It is anticipated that progress in plant genomics and in particular sequence technology made recently will shift the focus from “explanatory” to “predictive” in crop science. This book assembles chapters on all areas relevant to development and application of predictive molecular tools in plant breeding by leading authorties in the respective areas.

G. Jung forms one of the basic texts of twentieth-century thought: at once foundational for depth psychology and pivotal for intellectual, cultural, and religious history. The writings presented here, spanning five decades, embody Jung’s attempt to establish an interdisciplinary science of analytical psychology, and apply its insights to the fields of psychiatry, criminology, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, personality psychology, anthropology, physics, biology, education, the arts and literature, the history of the mind and its symbols, comparative religion, alchemy, and contemporary culture and politics, among others: each in turn has been decisively marked by his thought. Of timely and ongoing relevance to the understanding of these fields, Jung’s writings are at the same time essential reading for any understanding of the making of the modern mind.
