Dear Reader, as an author, I love to bring the authenticity of my content to the forefront of my writing. To aid in your reading pleasure, I have inserted the prologue so that you may come to know about the main characters and their role. The experimental project "Dead Paradise" allows you to reuse the lifetime combat reflexes and skills of the dead presidential guards. Remote-controlled dead take to the streets. The characters and events described in the book, are the fruit of the author's imagination. Any coincidence is random.

Paul's not dead. He might not know much, but he's sure of that. Last he remembers, he was leaving his Bali hotel for a night of partying. Linda's been assigned to mentor him in Heaven - but first she has to get him there. Paul says: "I'm not dead. I just managed to slow my biological processes until I appeared dead. Besides, who would kill me? I'm a positive force for good in this world. Also, I'm a singer." Linda says: "Ugh, this guy is so incredibly stupid. He's convinced that he's not dead, he's just more enlightened than everyone else in the freaking world. Probably read a few books by Deepak Chopra and then took some drugs. Bingo - instant bloody guru."

These studies focus on personal eschatology in the Jewish and early Christian apocalypses. The apocalyptic tradition from its Jewish origins until the early middle ages is studied as a continuous literary tradition, in which both continuity of motifs and important changes in understanding of life after death can be charted. As well as better known apocalypses, major and often pioneering attention is given to those neglected apocalypses which portray human destiny after death in detail, such as the Apocalypse of Peter, the Apocalypse of the Seven Heavens, the later apocalypses of Ezra, and the four apocalypses of the Virgin Mary. Relationships with Greco-Roman eschatology are explored. Several chapters show how specific New Testament texts are illuminated by close knowledge of this tradition of ideas and images of the hereafter.

Dead Letters From Paradise written by Ann McMan and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-06-28 with Fiction categories.

Two-time Lambda Literary Award-winning author Ann McMan introduces readers to a spinster postal investigator for the Winston-Salem Dead Letter Office who finds herself enmeshed in the mystery of solving who is sending undeliverable love letters to the town's 18th-century hortus medicus. The year is 1960, and Gunsmoke is the most popular show on TV. Elvis Presley tops the Billboard charts, and a charismatic young senator named John F. Kennedy is running for president. And, in North Carolina, four young Black men sit down at a Woolworth's lunch counter and demand service. Enter Esther Jane (EJ) Cloud, a forty-something spinster who manages the Dead Letter Office at the Winston-Salem post office. EJ leads a quiet life in her Old Salem ancestral home and spends her free time volunteering in the town's 18th century medicinal garden. One sunny Spring morning, EJ's simple life is turned upside down when the town's master gardener unceremoniously hands her a stack of handwritten letters that have all been addressed to a nonexistent person at the garden. This simple act sets in motion a chain of events that will lead EJ on a life-altering quest to uncover the identity of the mysterious letter writer--and into a surprising head-on confrontation with the harsh realities of the racial injustice that is as deeply rooted in the life of her community as the ancient herbs cultivated in the Moravian garden. When EJ is forced to read the letters to look for clues about the anonymous sender, what she discovers are lyrical tales of a forbidden passion that threaten to unravel the simple contours of her unexamined life. EJ's official quest soon morphs into a journey of self-discovery as she becomes more deeply enmeshed in the fate of the mysterious letter writer, Dorothea. Her surprising accomplice in solving the mystery of the letters becomes one, Harrie Hart: a savvy, street smart ten-year-old, wielding an eye patch and a limitless supply of aphorisms. Together, Harrie and EJ make seminal pilgrimages to the tiny town of Paradise to try and uncover the identity of the mercurial sender and, ultimately, learn a better way to navigate the changing world around them.

"Death does not respect status or age. It often comes as a thief in the night, unexpectedly robbing the vicim of life and leaving friends and relatives bewildered and bereft. Who among us has not lost someone we loved? And who does not long to make contact with that loved person again - to know that they still live, but in another dimension? After the sudden death of her son Paul, Judith Chisholm learned that death is not the end, but a change of form. That our loved ones are waiting for us a heartbeat away in another world. She tells the story of her journey from death and despair to revelation and hope. We read how, in the years since his death, she has used paranormal phenomena first discovered half a century ago to record Paul's voice on a tape recorder. It is an experience many others have shared. The book explains in detail how the procedure works. It can be tested by anyone who wishes to: it is the only known psychic phenomenon that it is repeatable! Readers can try for themselves to open channels of communbication with their own loved ones who have crossd the divide between this life and their new life on the other side. While there is no guarantee, it can certainly be said to work for many."--Publisher's description.
