This thoroughly updated leading-edge circuit design resource offers the knowledge needed to quickly pinpoint transmission problems that can compromise the entire circuit design. This new edition demonstrates how to apply EM theory to solve signal integrity problems with a practical application-oriented approach. Discussing both design and debug issues at gigabit per second data rates, the book serves as a practical reference for projects involving high-speed serial signaling on printed wiring boards. Step-by-step, this book goes from reviewing the essentials of linear circuit theory, to examining practical issues of pulse propagation along lossless and lossy transmission lines. It provides detailed guidelines for crosstalk, attenuation, power supply decoupling, and layer stackup tradeoffs (including pad/antipad tradeoffs). Other key topics include the construction of etched conductors, analysis of return paths and split planes, microstrip and stripline characteristics, and SMT capacitors. Filled with on-the-job-proven examples, this hands-on reference is the book that engineers can turn to time and again to design out and troubleshoot circuit signal loss and impedance problems.

What Newton′s Principia was to his natural science colleagues, Russ Marion′s The Edge of Organization is to today′s social scientists. This book clearly elucidates the arrival of the social sciences at the end of the alley of modernism but then presents us with the tools and ideas to climb out of a dead end, rise above old limitations, and take flight for new horizons bright with promise for advancing both theory and praxis. . . . For social scientists, it is both the most relevant and most easily apprehended treatment to date of the totality of chaos and complexity theory and technique. --Raymond A. Eve, Editor, Chaos, Complexity, and Sociology The Edge of Organization offers a readable, comprehensive, and integrated overview of the new sciences of chaos and complexity. Author Russ Marion describes formal and social organizations from the perspective of chaos and complexity theories. His multidisciplinary approach will appeal to students and scholars across a wide range of social sciences. This book is generously illustrated and includes comprehensive references plus an annotated bibliography of useful books and articles. The Edge of Organization will appeal to students and professionals in sociology, management/ organization studies, management studies, marketing, political science, public administration, and psychology.

Education At The Edge Of Empire written by John R. Gram and has been published by University of Washington Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-06-01 with Social Science categories.

For the vast majority of Native American students in federal Indian boarding schools at the turn of the twentieth century, the experience was nothing short of tragic. Dislocated from family and community, they were forced into an educational system that sought to erase their Indian identity as a means of acculturating them to white society. However, as historian John Gram reveals, some Indian communities on the edge of the American frontier had a much different experience—even influencing the type of education their children received. Shining a spotlight on Pueblo Indians’ interactions with school officials at the Albuquerque and Santa Fe Indian Schools, Gram examines two rare cases of off-reservation schools that were situated near the communities whose children they sought to assimilate. Far from the federal government’s reach and in competition with nearby Catholic schools for students, these Indian boarding school officials were in no position to make demands and instead were forced to pick their cultural battles with nearby Pueblo parents, who visited the schools regularly. As a result, Pueblo Indians were able to exercise their agency, influencing everything from classroom curriculum to school functions. As Gram reveals, they often mitigated the schools’ assimilation efforts and assured the various pueblos’ cultural, social, and economic survival. Greatly expanding our understanding of the Indian boarding school experience, Education at the Edge of Empire is grounded in previously overlooked archival material and student oral histories. The result is a groundbreaking examination that contributes to Native American, Western, and education histories, as well as to borderland and Southwest studies. It will appeal to anyone interested in knowing how some Native Americans were able to use the typically oppressive boarding school experience to their advantage.

The Boost Graph Library (BGL) is the first C++ library to apply the principles of generic programming to the construction of the advanced data structures and algorithms used in graph computations. Problems in such diverse areas as Internet packet routing, molecular biology, scientific computing, and telephone network design can be solved by using graph theory. This book presents an in-depth description of the BGL and provides working examples designed to illustrate the application of BGL to these real-world problems. Written by the BGL developers, The Boost Graph Library: User Guide and Reference Manual gives you all the information you need to take advantage of this powerful new library. Part I is a complete user guide that begins by introducing graph concepts, terminology, and generic graph algorithms. This guide also takes the reader on a tour through the major features of the BGL; all motivated with example problems. Part II is a comprehensive reference manual that provides complete documentation of all BGL concepts, algorithms, and classes. Readers will find coverage of: Graph terminology and concepts Generic programming techniques in C++ Shortest-path algorithms for Internet routing Network planning problems using the minimum-spanning tree algorithms BGL algorithms with implicitly defined graphs BGL Interfaces to other graph libraries BGL concepts and algorithms BGL classes–graph, auxiliary, and adaptor Groundbreaking in its scope, this book offers the key to unlocking the power of the BGL for the C++ programmer looking to extend the reach of generic programming beyond the Standard Template Library.

This book is the third and final volume in a series entitled "The Modula-2 Software Component Library." C. Lins' collection of reusable standard software components could be the basis for every programmer's software project in Modula-2. Components that are implementations of commonly used data structures are presented, along with a description of their functionality and efficiency. Moreover, the books provide the background necessary to tailor these components to the specific needs of any Modula-2 environment. For Modula-2 programmers, this series of books could prove as useful and indispensible as the original language reference by Niklaus Wirth. This third volume discusses the concepts of trees and graphs, shows their specifications, and provides implementations for various forms of trees and graphs.

Speculating On The Edge Of Psychoanalysis written by Pablo Lerner and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-08-02 with Psychology categories.

In Speculating on the Edge of Psychoanalysis, Pablo Lerner questions, and takes a step beyond, the prevailing paradigm of Lacanian psychoanalysis and its emphasis on the sovereignty of language and jouissance. Arguing for the existence of a primordial real void outside and independent of language, Lerner re-thinks the structure and functioning of Lacan’s three orders and their complex interrelations. Silence, darkness, and emptiness are the names of the voids within the symbolic, the imaginary, and the real, and, in the gaps between these orders, the voids converge. Thus, Lerner re-conceptualizes the fundamental structure of the field of subjectivity, offering radical and original perspectives on a diverse range of psychoanalytical, philosophical, and theological topics. Chapters span themes such as creation and poetry, death and solitude, intuition and mysticism, truth and being, pantheism and polytheism, the poetic art of interpretation, and introduces a new mathematical conceptualization of psychoanalytic metapsychology and the clinical structures. This volume offers new psychoanalytic perspectives of great interest for practitioners and scholars in the fields of psychoanalysis, philosophy, theology, and literary studies.
