Sometime during this stay, I realized that the steroid demons had taken over my brain! "What am I doing?", I asked myself. Under normal circumstances, I would never eat like this. For the rest of my stay, I put myself on a low calorie, sodium, fat, sugar, high antioxidants, and high calcium diet, because I knew that steroids spike your sugar, make you retain water and sodium, give you hypertension, stir up heartburn and alter your body's ability to use calcium.
