"Torque: Theory, Calculations, and Applications" "Torque: Theory, Calculations, and Applications" is a comprehensive and meticulously structured reference that explores the principles and practicalities of torque across the physical sciences and engineering disciplines. Beginning with a deep dive into the foundational concepts of torque—its physical interpretation, mathematical formulation, and historic development—the book skillfully bridges the gap between fundamental theory and real-world applications. Each chapter builds upon the last, offering a continuum from the mathematical underpinnings and vector nature of torque, to the nuanced analysis of static and dynamic systems. Beyond theoretical discourse, the text thoroughly addresses the challenges encountered in modeling, measuring, and controlling torque within modern mechanical systems. Detailed expositions cover material response to torsion, multibody dynamics, and advanced computational analysis, including finite element methods and digital signal processing for torque measurement. Real-world engineering considerations receive significant attention, encompassing shaft design, power transmission, energy efficiency, and system optimization in both conventional and emerging technologies. Specialized chapters further guide the reader through torque phenomena in aerospace, marine, and biomedical contexts, showcasing the diversity of torque’s applications. With forward-looking chapters on smart sensors, IoT integration, machine learning, and the evolving landscape of high-precision torque instrumentation, this book stands at the intersection of tradition and innovation. It is an essential resource for engineers, physicists, and researchers seeking authoritative coverage—from foundational theory to the latest breakthroughs and unresolved challenges in torque science and technology.

The bicycle is a common, yet unique mechanical contraption in our world. In spite of this, the bike's physical and mechanical principles are understood by a select few. You do not have to be a genius to join this small group of people who understand the physics of cycling. This is your guide to fundamental principles (such as Newton's laws) and the book provides intuitive, basic explanations for the bicycle's behaviour. Each concept is introduced and illustrated with simple, everyday examples. Although cycling is viewed by most as a fun activity, and almost everyone acquires the basic skills at a young age, few understand the laws of nature that give magic to the ride. This is a closer look at some of these fun, exhilarating, and magical aspects of cycling. In the reading, you will also understand other physical principles such as motion, force, energy, power, heat, and temperature.

Differential Equations And Their Applications written by ZAFAR AHSAAN and has been published by PHI Learning Pvt. Ltd. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-01-01 with Mathematics categories.

Primarily intended for the undergraduate students in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering, this text gives in-depth coverage of differential equations and the methods of solving them. The book begins with the basic definitions, the physical and geometric origins of differential equations, and the methods for solving first-order differential equations. Then it goes on to give the applications of these equations to such areas as biology, medical sciences, electrical engineering and economics. The text also discusses, systematically and logically, higher-order differential equations and their applications to telecom-munications, civil engineering, cardiology and detec-tion of diabetes, as also the methods of solving simultaneous differential equations and their applica-tions. Besides, the book provides a detailed discussion on Laplace transform and their applications, partial differential equations and their applications to vibration of a stretched string, heat flow, transmission lines, etc., and calculus of variations and its applications. This book, which is a happy fusion of theory and application, would also be useful to postgraduate students.

Adkins and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Social Science categories.

The book on The General Theory of Electrical Machines, by B. Adkins, which was published in 1957, has been well received, as a manual containing the theories on which practical methods of calculating machine performance can be based, and as a text-book for advanced students. Since 1957, many important developments have taken place in the practical application of electrical machine theory. The most important single factor in the development has been the increasing availability of the digital computer, which was only beginning to be used in the solution of machine and power system problems in 1957. Since most of the recent development, particularly that with which the authors have been concerned, has related to a. c. machines, the present book, which is in other respects an up-to-date version of the earlier book, deals primarily with a. c. machines. The second chapter on the primitive machine does deal to some extent with the d. c. machine, because the cross-field d. c. generator serves as an introduction to the two-axis theory and can be used to provide a simple explanation of some of the mathematical methods. The equations also apply directly to a. c. commutator machines. The use of the word 'general' in the title has been criticized. It was never intended to imply that the treatment was comprehen sive in the sense that every possible type of machine and problem The word is used in the sense that the theory can was dealt with.

The electromagnetic field equations are applied to nonferromagnetic conducting thin-wall cylinders, cones, and cone frustums, with extension to the general thin-wall body of revolution slowly spinning in a homogeneous magnetic field, in order to calculate the induced eddy currents and resulting torques. The solutions to these cases have direct application in calculating the magnetic torques tending to damp the rotation of spinning and tumbling satellites.
