Transcendent Love written by Leonard G. Friesen and has been published by University of Notre Dame Pess this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-05-15 with Literary Criticism categories.

In Transcendent Love: Dostoevsky and the Search for a Global Ethic, Leonard G. Friesen ranges widely across Dostoevsky's stories, novels, journalism, notebooks, and correspondence to demonstrate how Dostoevsky engaged with ethical issues in his times and how those same issues continue to be relevant to today's ethical debates. Friesen contends that the Russian ethical voice, in particular Dostoevsky's voice, deserves careful consideration in an increasingly global discussion of moral philosophy and the ethical life. Friesen challenges the view that contemporary liberalism provides a religiously neutral foundation for a global ethic. He argues instead that Dostoevsky has much to offer when it comes to the search for a global ethic, an ethic that for Dostoevsky was necessarily grounded in a Christian concept of an active, extravagant, and transcendent love. Friesen also investigates Dostoevsky's response to those who claimed that contemporary European trends, most evident in the rising secularization of nineteenth-century society, provided a more viable foundation for a global ethic than one grounded in the One, whom Doestoevsky called simply "the Russian Christ." Throughout, Friesen captures a sense of the depth and sheer loveliness of Dostoevsky's canon.

A deep metaphysical power lies behind love. We are responsible for our current life experience as there are no curses or coincidences whatsoever. Our life is entirely a product of our loving or blocking perceptions. We chose our lives. We chose to manifest in this time. We selected our bodies, our races, and our families for a reason-to further our metaphysical journeys and learn to express love. Transcendent Love reveals the manifesting force of our hearts to tackle common life challenges such as addiction, body image issues, and broken relationships. Former beauty queen, retired actress, and holistic nutritionist Priscila Perales guides us on this remarkable journey as she shares the very same metaphysical laws that helped her overcome her own adversity and obstacles. Perales explores all aspects of love, from the importance of forgiveness and practicing compassion to our deep needs to express generosity, gratitude, and hold a spiritual practice. Embracing your current circumstance is the only way to transcend and transform it. Through love, you can redirect your life path to bring about a more fulfilling life experience. Living with an open heart is the only worthy way to be so that we can express our full potential.

As we strive for good, through our fear and sense of lack, we inadvertently give power to a coalition that infuses cultures in a philosophy of eternal conflict and domination as a means of preserving civic order, that is controlled by promises of greater good while guiding policies and actions protect and produces a world of haves and have-nots. The deeper impulse of the Soul to thrive and transform itself into loving is an eternal force and is unstoppable in the long run. Though ominous, these times embody a great opportunity for humanity to change the narrative. To do so we need to rise above the inversion layer of shadows into transcendent realms and resources. Prophecy portends a “new day and new dawn.” We are that promise. We live in a time that invites a vision for humanity and leadership based on integrity and spiritual awakening. Remember. As we incarnate into the human condition, the most essential and most forgotten element of life for each of us is that we are the ones that bring love. In our first breath, we encounter an overwhelming challenge to identify with the world in which we find ourselves and forget the world of love from whence we came. I invite you to engage in an exploration of Self that is continuous and reveals the truth of life without fear, inspired by Soul and guided by love. Consider perhaps that the promise of a “new day and new dawn” refers simply to a change of heart. Transcendental Leadership occurs when we connect to our visionary nature, awaken to an integral perspective, and apply our greater virtue and spiritual depth in response to the challenges and callings of life.

In his latest book, Walter Doyle Staples invites his readers to experience life as fully aware, fully conscious, and fully functioning individuals. Dr. Staples presents powerful and life-changing ideas and concepts on how to transcend our ego-based state of consciousness to achieve deep peace, profound love, and infinite joy. Happy 95% of the Time explains how our attachment to our ego can only create dysfunction and suffering in our lives, resulting in fear, anger, guilt, regret, depression, and/or despair. He contends we need to awaken to a new consciousness and experience a new beginning. Happy 95% of the Time describes in detail the three primary ways to overcome low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, and depression: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—an example of Western, left-brain analytical thinking. Practical spirituality—an example of Eastern, right-brain mystical thinking. Mindfulness meditation—an inner-body, contemplative approach designed to manage our internal thought processes in order to calm the mind. Numerous world-renowned authorities on personal success—from Jack Canfield, Ken Blanchard, and Dr. Norman Vincent Peale to Art Linkletter, Anthony Robbins, and Brian Tracy—have praised Walter’s previous books. We are sure they—and you—will find Happy 95% of the Time just as valuable and compelling.

The Transcendent Character Of The Good written by Petruschka Schaafsma and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-08-10 with Philosophy categories.

This volume addresses issues of moral pluralism and polarization by drawing attention to the transcendent character of the good. It probes the history of Christian theology and moral philosophy to investigate the value of this idea and then relates it to contemporary moral issues. The good is transcendent in that it goes beyond concrete goods, things, acts, or individual preferences. It functions as the pole of a compass that helps orient our moral life. This volume explores the critical tension between the transcendent good and its concrete embodiments in the world through concepts like conscience, natural and divine law, virtue, and grace. The chapters are divided into three parts. Part I discusses metaphysical issues like the realist nature and the unity of the good in relation to philosophical, naturalist, and theological approaches from Augustine to Iris Murdoch. The chapters in Part II explore issues about knowing the transcendent good and doing good, exemplified in the delicate balance between divine command and human virtuousness. Early Protestant theological views prove to be excellent interlocutors for this reflection. Finally, Part III focuses on how transcendence is at stake in two heavily debated moral issues of today: euthanasia and the family. The Transcendent Character of the Good will be of interest to scholars and advanced students working in theological ethics, moral philosophy, and the history of ethics. Love S Oneing written by Kerrie Hide and has been published by Austin Macauley Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-11-08 with Religion categories.

Grounded in Christian love mysticism, Love’s Oneing gives voice to the luminous consciousness that awakens from within our oneness in God in contemplation. With great sensitivity, the book offers nuanced insight into the marriage of kenosis and desire in contemplation, through the rich tapestry of writings from nine mystics: Julian of Norwich, the Cloud of Unknowing author, Meister Eckhart, Mechthild of Magdeburg, Clare of Assisi, John of the Cross, Teilhard de Chardin, Beatrice Bruteau and Ilia Delio. With the delicate eye of a spiritual director immersed in mystical literature, Kerrie Hide situates these mystical teachings within contemplative prayer, whilst offering a scholarly exploration of contemplative practice to embody the insights. Deeply grounded in traditional and contemporary mystical classics, Hide celebrates how the Christian mystical tradition lays a foundation for the evolutionary growth of communion consciousness and the insights of quantum science, highlighting key moments in contemplation that when surrendered into, open into divine love. Born of intellectual reflection, lived experience and contemplative wisdom, Love’s Oneing makes a unique contribution to the existing literature on contemplation at a time when the recovery of the mystical dimension of life is crucial for the future of our planet in this climate crisis moment.
