Gefragt sind deshalb Mitarbeitende, die flexibel sind und eigene Ideen einbringen. Dies erfordert ein Führungsverhalten, das ein Infragestellen des Status Quo zulässt und dennoch Orientierung bietet. Transformationale Führung erfüllt ebendiese Voraussetzungen. Deshalb wird sie auch als ‚veränderungsorientierte Führung‘ bezeichnet. Führungskräfte werden zu Change-Agenten, die Mitarbeiter und Unternehmen unterstützen, Transformationen erfolgreich zu meistern (vgl. Pundt & Nerdinger, 2012). Diese Hausarbeit im Fachbereich Führungspsychologie beschäftigt sich mit transformationaler Führung. Zuerst werden das Konzept der transformationalen Führung und der aktuelle Stand der Forschung vorgestellt. Im Anschluss werden zwei aktuelle empirische Studien aufgegriffen. In der ersten Studie wurde der Zusammenhang zwischen transformationaler Führung und Veränderungsbereitschaft untersucht. Die Studie zeigte, dass Stressoren und Ressourcen diesen Zusammenhang moderieren. In der zweiten Studie wurde nachgewiesen, dass der Zusammenhang zwischen transformationaler Führung und Kreativität über Abhängigkeit vermittelt wird. Nach Vorstellung beider Studien werden ihre Gemeinsamkeiten, Unterschiede und die Bedeutung ihrer Ergebnisse für das Konzept der transformationalen Führung diskutiert.
