Depois de ter publicado "Um casal de idosos no tempo do vírus" em Português e, mais tarde, a respectiva versão em Espanhol "Una pareja de ancianos en tiempos de virus", o autor recordou os seus estudos linguísticos, quando melhorou as suas capacidades de leitura em Espanhol através da leitura de livros que não tinha lido em português (que, certamente, facilitaria a compreensão da leitura). O autor acredita que, ao publicar as crônicas nos dois idiomas, lado a lado, os leitores de língua portuguesa poderão exercitar sua compreensão leitora em espanhol, crônica por crônica, lendo primeiro em português e depois em espanhol. Da mesma forma, os leitores de língua espanhola poderão praticar sua compreensão de leitura em português da mesma forma. Tendo em conta o inconveniente de mudar frequentemente os livros, o autor decidiu reuni-los numa única publicação, intercalando as crónicas correspondentes. É importante considerar que o tema do livro, a vida das pessoas durante a terrível pandemia que assolou o mundo inteiro, é de interesse geral e tem valor histórico. Después de haber publicado "Um casal de idosos no tempo do virus" en portugués y, después, su respectiva versión en español "Una pareja de ancianos en tiempos del virus", el autor recordó sus estudios de idiomas, cuando mejoró sus habilidades de lectura en español leyendo libros de texto que no había leído en portugués (lo que, ciertamente, facilitaría la comprensión lectora). El autor considera que al publicar las crónicas en ambos idiomas, uno al lado del otro, los lectores de lengua portuguesa podrán ejercitar su comprensión lectora en español, crónica por crónica, leyendo primero en portugués y luego en español. Similarmente, los lectores de lengua española podrán practicar su comprensión lectora en portugués de la misma manera. Después de haber publicado "Um casal de idosos no tempo do vírus" en portugués y sus versiones en inglés ("An elderly couple in the time of the virus") y español ("Una pareja de ancianos en tiempos del virus"), el autor recordó sus estudios de idiomas, cuando mejoró sus habilidades de lectura en inglés y español leyendo libros de texto que no había leído en portugués (lo que, ciertamente, facilitaría la comprensión lectora). El autor ha considerado que, al publicar las crónicas en los tres idiomas, los lectores de un de los idiomas podrán ejercitar su comprensión lectora en los otros, crónica por crónica, leyendo primero en su idioma y luego en uno de los otros dos. After having published "Um casal de idosos no tempo do vírus" in Portuguese and its versions in English ("An elderly couple in the time of the virus") and Spanish ("An elderly couple in the time of the virus"), the author recalled his language studies, when he improved his reading skills in English and Spanish by reading textbooks that he had not read in Portuguese (which would certainly make reading comprehension easier). The author has considered that by publishing the chronicles in the three languages, readers of one of the languages will be able to exercise their reading comprehension in the others, chronicle by chronicle, reading first in their language and then in one of the other two. Taking into account the inconvenience of frequently changing the books, the author decided to bring them together in bilingual books, interspersing the corresponding chronicles. It is important to consider that the theme of the book, the lives of people during the terrible pandemic that ravaged the entire world, is of general interest and has historical value.
