On Oct. 1, 2009, The Stanley Fdn. organized a ¿civil society¿ session, ¿Resolution 1540: At a Crossroads¿ at the U.N. in New York City, to make a contribution to the official Comprehensive Review of the Status of Implementation on Resolution 1540 conducted by the members of the 1540 Committee. This is the first book to focus on the theoretical and practical issues of export control. It combines the points of view of Japanese and French academics and practitioners, including personnel at several governmental institutions and private companies.
