My story is an example of the painful story any third world countries, especially African women’s experiences of war and oppression, years after years when the list of this country’s names I can go on and on, but I do not have to go all over the world and read you the list the names of these countries, but I can just talk abut what went just around East Africa; the pain just those few countries have caused many people life itself make me sick enough. I don’t know where to start what the Eritrea women and children had to endure in the ugly war for more than thirty-five years. Of course it was with Ethiopia so the some goes for us Ethiopians too. Who can forget the genocide in Uganda, and of course who can forget what for so many years in Sudan is still going on? Somali has had a few years of war and has still not recovered yet, and its citizens scattered all over the world. The war of the hidden scars that many women from these countries bear and of the sources of healing that these women use in order to keep on living and caring for their families…
