English summary: Christof Landmesser discusses philosophical concepts and develops a concept of truth which makes it possible to show the integrative and critical function of truth both for New Testament studies and for theology in general. In doing so, he takes a very close look at Heidegger's and Bultmann's concept of truth and at more recent approaches in New Testament hermeneutics. He shows that a systematically well-founded concept of truth is indispensable for theology and scholarly exegesis and demonstrates how such a concept of truth can be put to advantage in religion and the humanities. German description: Der Begriff 'Wahrheit' ist in der Theologie und der neutestamentlichen Wissenschaft in vielfachen Bezugen Diskussionsgegenstand. Dies gilt vornehmlich fur die Frage nach materialer Wahrheit. In der gegenwartigen theologischen Theoriebildung gibt es allerdings keinen umfassenden Versuch, die Grundlagen eines Wahrheitsbegriffs systematisch zu rekonstruieren. Die Frage nach einem in der Theologie anwendbaren Wahrheitsbegriff ist jedoch angesichts der in der biblischen und kirchlichen Tradition erhobenen Wahrheitsanspruche ein dringendes Desiderat. Christof Landmesser erortert neuere philosophische Konzeptionen und stellt einen semantisch-ontologischen Wahrheitsbegriff vor. Dabei berucksichtigt er sprach- und erkenntnistheoretische Aspekte ebenso wie wissenschafts- und wahrheitstheoretische Fragestellungen. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden der existential-ontologische Wahrheitsbegriff Heideggers und dessen Aufnahme in die Theologie durch Bultmann ausfuhrlich dargestellt und diskutiert. Anschliessend wird die Funktion der Wahrheitsfrage in der gegenwartigen neutestamentlichen Hermeneutik erortert. Zum Schluss legt Christof Landmesser auf der Grundlage des semantisch-ontologischen Wahrheitsbegriffs einen Entwurf vor, der es ermoglicht, die integrative und kritische Funktion des Begriffs Wahrheit fur die neutestamentliche Wissenschaft und zugleich fur die Theologie uberhaupt aufzuzeigen. 'Wahrheit' erweist sich fur die heutige wissenschaftliche und religiose Kommunikation als ein unverzichtbarer Grundbegriff.
