Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Deutsch - Pädagogik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: 1,0, Leuphana Universität Lüneburg (Institut für Deutsche Sprache und Literatur), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Immer wieder liefern internationale Vergleichsstudien wie PISA oder DESI nicht von der Hand zu weisende Belege dafür, dass deutsche Schüler eine nur unzureichende Lesekompetenz aufweisen, woraus resultiert, dass sie mitunter massive Schwierigkeiten dabei haben, Texte verstehen und/oder schreiben zu können. Die Erweiterung des Wortschatzes wird in der Zweitsprachen- sowie Fremdsprachendidaktik schon immer als wichtigstes Ziel angesehen. Wortschatzarbeit muss daher auch im muttersprachlichen Deutschunterricht über alle Schuljahre hinweg zentraler Bestandteil sein, denn ein erfolgreiches Sprachhandeln ist ohne quantitativ umfangreichen und qualitativ differenzierten Wortschatz undenkbar. Um im späteren Berufsleben als Deutschlehrkraft einen für jeden einzelnen Schüler lehrreichen und effektiven Unterricht gestalten zu können, ist es von essentieller Bedeutung, dass umfassendes Wissen über den aktuellen Status Quo bezüglich der Forschung zum Wortschatzerwerb und der Wortschatzdidaktik vorhanden ist. Aus diesem Grund wird nun im Folgenden in dieser Ausarbeitung zunächst der Begriff Wortschatz mit seinen verschiedenen Teilbereichen definiert. Im Anschluss daran soll ein Überblick über die Rolle des Gehirns beim Wortschatzerwerb geliefert werden, um daraufhin die unterschiedlichen Formen der Wortschatzerweiterung betrachten zu können. Den Mittelpunkt der Arbeit bildet dann eine Untersuchung des aktuellen Standes der didaktischen Forschung zu Wortschatzerwerb, Wortschatzarbeit und Wortschatzvertiefung in der Schule.

Population mobility is at an all-time high in human history.
