Excerpt from A Review of the Theory of Universal Gravitation Before submitting objections to this theory, or venturing any suggestions with regard to it, a few preliminary considerations may not be out of place. It is then an established theory, is quite generally accepted, has the weight of authority in its favor, and for these reasons at least is more formidable to combat. Excerpt from The Foundations of Einstein's Theory of Gravitation Eyes for all our knowledge of the universe, which extended no further than we could see. Even the invention of the telescope did not disturb this proposition, but it is otherwise with the invention of the photographic plate. It is now conceivable that a blind man, by taking photographs and ren dering their records in some way decipherable by his fingers, could investigate the universe; but still it would remain true, that all his knowledge of anything outside the earth would be derived from the use of light and would therefore be limited by its properties. On this little earth there is, indeed, a tiny corner of the universe accessible to other senses: but feeling and taste act only at those minute distances which separate particles of matter when in contact: smell ranges over, at the utmost, a mile or two; and the greatest distance which sound is ever known to have travelled (when Krakatoa exploded in 1883) is but a few thousand miles - a mere fraction of the earth's girdle. The scale of phenomena manifested through agencies other than light is so small that we are unlikely to reach any noteworthy precision by their study. Few people who are not astronomers have spent much thought on the limitations introduced by the. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Excerpt from Relativity and Gravitation Chapter II. Is intended so to bring the mind of the reader into contact with certain philosophical prob lems presented to us by our experiences with the external world and our efforts to learn the facts about it, that he may approach the subject of rela tivity with an appreciation of the place it occupies as a phase of human thought and a pillar of the scientific structure. Until the reader is aware of the existence of these problems and the directions taken by the efforts, successful and unsuccessful, to un ravel them, he is not equipped to comprehend the doctrine of relativity at all; he is in much the same case as a child whose education had reached only the primer stage, if asked to read the masterpieces of literature. He lacks not alone the vocabulary, but equally the mental background on which the vocabulary is based. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Theory Of Relativity The Classical Review written by Gocho Vasilev Sharlanov and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-02-06 with categories.

The review starts with a general introduction to the existed problem in modern physics about the constancy of the speed of light. This problem must be concerned in two aspects. First of all, we must become aware that the space is stationary, and this is a consequence of Newton's law of universal gravitation because space has no mass and the gravitational forces do not affect the space to move (F=G(m1.m2)/r^2).The misunderstanding of the dominant part of the physical society consists in the fact that the contraction (warping) of space moves along with the celestial bodies, but the space remains stationary! The first aspect of the problem with the constancy of the speed of light concerns the speed of light in vacuum. The celestial bodies rotate and move in the stationary space. However, the intensity of the gravitational field "near the surface of the celestial body", remains practically the same during the travel of the celestial body through space, because the intensity of the gravitational field is determined (dominated) by the mass of the celestial body. The speed of light in vacuum (in the stationary empty space) corresponds to the intensity of the gravitational field in any certain time-spatial domain. This fact was actually proven by American astrophysicist Dr. Irwin I. Shapiro in 1964 (Shapiro time delay effect) and accurately confirmed later by the space probes "Mariner-6" and "Mariner-7".Therefore, during the travel of the celestial body through the space, the constant intensity of the gravitational field "near the surface of the celestial body" determines the constant "speed of light in vacuum" there. Therefore, that is the reason why there is no variation in "the speed of light in vacuum" when the Earth moves in its orbit around the Sun and along with the Solar System in the Galaxy. That is why, it is nonsense to try to find some "ether wind", which actually turns out to be the warped space-time itself. The second aspect of the problem concerns the velocity of light in moving frames of reference in a local time-spatial domain with a uniform intensity of the gravitational field. The presented analyses show: the velocity of light is different in the moving frame of reference related to a spinning disk (Sagnac experiment), or in the frame of reference related to the moving surface of the Earth, which rotates around its axis in the stationary space (the experiments "One-way measurement of the speed of light" and "Michelson-Gale-Pearson").The presented analysis of the Michelson-Morley experiment shows that the inappropriate conceptual design, used in the construction of the Michelson interferometer, is actually the primary root cause for the great delusion that "the speed of light is the same in all inertial frames of reference", which is the core of the special theory of relativity. The factual analysis of the article "On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies" shows exactly where and how the false claim "the speed of light is the same for all inertial frames of reference" was applied, and actually reveals the essence of the special theory of relativity. The essence of the so-called "fundamental tests of the special theory of relativity", which have considered as three major types, is revealed. The given analyses actually complete all the evidence about the invalidity of the special theory of relativity.About the General Theory of Relativity - the idea that space and time are not absolute is genius. However, the review outlines two important reasons why the Einstein Field Equations cannot be valid in the scope of the entire Universe. Along with the "awareness" that the speed of light in vacuum is not a constant for the entire Universe, the "awareness" with key importance lies in the answer to the question: "What is the difference between the mathematical equations and the equations of the theoretical physics?" The disregard of this important difference has led to the nonsense of the work of many scholars.

Excerpt from Gravitation Versus Relativity: A Non-Technical Explanation of the Fundamental Principles of Gravitational Astronomy and a Critical Examination of the Astronomical Evidence Cited as Proof of the Generalized Theory of Relativity For some years now the entire world has been in a state of unrest; mental as well as physical. The physi cal aspects of this unrest, the strikes, the socialistic up risings, the war, are vivid memories; the deep mental disturbances are evidenced by the widespread interest in social problems, by the futuristic movements in art, by the light and easy way in which many cast aside the well tested theories of finance and government in favor of radical and untried experiments. Can it be that the same spirit of unrest has invaded science? The Rela tivity Theory, as announced by Einstein, shatters our fundamental ideas in regard to space and time, destroys the basis upon which has been built the entire edifice of modern science, and substitutes a nebulous conception of varying standards and shifting unreal ities. And this radical, this destroying theory has been accepted as lightly and as easily as one accepts a correction to the estimated height of a mountain in Asia, or to the source of a river in equatorial Africa.
