Inhaltsangabe:Gang der Untersuchung: Die Arbeit ist in drei Teile gegliedert. Darstellung des wirtschaftsinstrumentellen Ansatzes und Begründung seiner Verwendung als theoretische Basis. Kurze Darstellung des Ansatzes unter den Aspekten Handlungsorientierung, Transformationskonzept, systemorientierte Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Sequenzzierung durch Elaborationstheorie und Curriculumspirale, Modellierungsmethode, Modellunternehmung und Lernhandeln (27 Seiten). Aufbau und Durchführung der Qualifikationsbedarfsanalyse: Anhand von leitfadengestützten Interviews von jeweils ca. 60 Minuten Dauer wurde ein nach empirischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählter Teil der Mitarbeiter hinsichtlich ihrer Rechnungswesenfähigkeiten befragt. Die Ergebnisse wurden ausführlich analysiert und strukturiert um entsprechende Schlüsse hinsichtlich der zu erstellenden Maßnahme machen zu können. (Aufbau der Analyse 27 Seiten, Darstellung der Ergebnisse 22 Seiten, Schlussfolgerungen 14 Seiten). Entwicklung einer Weiterbildungsmaßnahme auf Basis des wirtschaftsinstrumentellen Ansatzes und der durchgeführten Befragung. Der Transfer der Inhalte auf die betriebliche Praxis erfolgt unter Berücksichtigung der Anforderungen der Lerngruppe im Wesentlichen durch die Verwendung von Fallstudien, die beispielhaft dargestellt werden. Dieser Band ist im Kontext des Forschungsprojekts "Lernen, Denken, Handeln in komplexen ökonomischen Situationen - unter Nutzung neuer Technologien in der kaufmännischen Berufsausbildung" entstanden, das wir in Göttingen durchführen und das vom Bundesminister für Bildung und Wissenschaft, vom Niedersächsischen Minister für Wissenschaft und Kunst und vom Niedersächsischen Kultusminister gefördert wird. Im Rah men dieses Projektes geht es darum, wie angesichts der zunehmenden Verbreitung der neuen Informations- und Kommunikationstechniken die kaufmännische Erstausbildung, insbesondere im Bereich der ökonomischen Kernfächer, konsolidiert, zielgerichtet weiterentwickelt bzw. umgestaltet werden sollte. Bei unserer Arbeit, die in Zusammenarbeit mit kaufmänni schen Schulen in Feldstudien inzwischen den Stoff mehrerer Monate eva luiert, neu konstruiert und wiederum evaluiert hat, stellten wir fest, daß es notwendig wäre, die Entwicklungsarbeiten in umfassende curriculare Konzepte einzubetten. Bei der Neuplanung der einzelnen Unterrichtsein heiten, die zugleich die Fragen eines möglichen Computereinsatzes mit zu berücksichtigen hatte, stießen wir viel schneller als erwartet auf den Sachverhalt, daß sich im Fach Rechnungswesen - das gilt aber auch für die Betriebswirtschaftslehre - ganz unterschiedliche didaktische Prinzipi en mischen. Diese ergänzen sich zum Teil, zum Teil sind sie aber auch unverträglich. Wenn hier auf explizit begründete und legitimierte Akzen tuierungen und Entscheidungen verzichtet wird, dann lassen sich weder ein ökonomisches Denken stimmig fördern noch die didaktischen Möglich keiten eines Computereinsatzes, der dessen Ausformung ja stil tzen soll, voll ausschöpfen. Vor diesem Hintergrund haben wir beschlossen, ein Symposium zur curri cularen, didaktisch-methodischen und medialen Ausgestaltung des Rech nungswesenunterrichts durchzuführen.

Education is a hot topic. From the stage of presidential debates to tonight's dinner table, it is an issue that most Americans are deeply concerned about. While there are many strategies for improving the educational process, we need a way to find out what works and what doesn't work as well. Educational assessment seeks to determine just how well students are learning and is an integral part of our quest for improved education. The nation is pinning greater expectations on educational assessment than ever before. We look to these assessment tools when documenting whether students and institutions are truly meeting education goals. But we must stop and ask a crucial question: What kind of assessment is most effective? At a time when traditional testing is subject to increasing criticism, research suggests that new, exciting approaches to assessment may be on the horizon. Advances in the sciences of how people learn and how to measure such learning offer the hope of developing new kinds of assessments-assessments that help students succeed in school by making as clear as possible the nature of their accomplishments and the progress of their learning. Knowing What Students Know essentially explains how expanding knowledge in the scientific fields of human learning and educational measurement can form the foundations of an improved approach to assessment. These advances suggest ways that the targets of assessment-what students know and how well they know it-as well as the methods used to make inferences about student learning can be made more valid and instructionally useful. Principles for designing and using these new kinds of assessments are presented, and examples are used to illustrate the principles. Implications for policy, practice, and research are also explored. With the promise of a productive research-based approach to assessment of student learning, Knowing What Students Know will be important to education administrators, assessment designers, teachers and teacher educators, and education advocates.

The Learner's Perspective Study aims to juxtapose the observable practices of the classroom and the meanings attributed to those practices by classroom participants. The LPS research design documents sequences of at least ten lessons, using three video cameras, supplemented by the reconstructive accounts of classroom participants obtained in post-lesson video-stimulated interviews, and by test and questionnaire data, and copies of student written material. In each participating country, data generation focuses on the classrooms of three teachers, identified by the local mathematics education community as competent, and situated in demographically different school communities within the one major city. The large body of complex data supports both the characterisation of practice in the classrooms of competent teachers and the development of theory.
