Control Systems Theory And Applications For Linear Repetitive Processes written by Eric Rogers and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-02-20 with Technology & Engineering categories.
After motivating examples, this monograph gives substantial new results on the analysis and control of linear repetitive processes. These include further applications of the abstract model based stability theory which, in particular, shows the critical importance to the dynamics developed of the structure of the initial conditions at the start of each new pass, the development of stability tests and performance bounds in terms of so-called 1D and 2D Lyapunov equations. It presents the development of a major bank of results on the structure and design of control laws, including the case when there is uncertainty in the process model description, together with numerically reliable computational algorithms. Finally, the application of some of these results in the area of iterative learning control is treated --- including experimental results from a chain conveyor system and a gantry robot system.

Adaptive Backstepping Control Of Uncertain Systems written by Jing Zhou and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-02-07 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book employs the powerful and popular adaptive backstepping control technology to design controllers for dynamic uncertain systems with non-smooth nonlinearities. Various cases including systems with time-varying parameters, multi-inputs and multi-outputs, backlash, dead-zone, hysteresis and saturation are considered in design and analysis. For multi-inputs and multi-outputs systems, both centralized and decentralized controls are addressed. This book not only presents recent research results including theoretical success and practical development such as the proof of system stability and the improvement of system tracking and transient performance, but also gives self-contained coverage of fundamentals on the backstepping approach illustrated with simple examples. Detail description of methodologies for the construction of adaptive laws, feedback control laws and associated Lyapunov functions is systematically provided in each case. Approaches used for the analysis of system stability and tracking and transient performances are elaborated. Two case studies are presented to show how the presented theories are applied.

Dynamic Modeling Predictive Control And Performance Monitoring written by Biao Huang and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-04-11 with Technology & Engineering categories.
A typical design procedure for model predictive control or control performance monitoring consists of: 1. identification of a parametric or nonparametric model; 2. derivation of the output predictor from the model; 3. design of the control law or calculation of performance indices according to the predictor. Both design problems need an explicit model form and both require this three-step design procedure. Can this design procedure be simplified? Can an explicit model be avoided? With these questions in mind, the authors eliminate the first and second step of the above design procedure, a “data-driven” approach in the sense that no traditional parametric models are used; hence, the intermediate subspace matrices, which are obtained from the process data and otherwise identified as a first step in the subspace identification methods, are used directly for the designs. Without using an explicit model, the design procedure is simplified and the modelling error caused by parameterization is eliminated.

Robust And Fault Tolerant Control written by Krzysztof Patan and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-03-16 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Robust and Fault-Tolerant Control proposes novel automatic control strategies for nonlinear systems developed by means of artificial neural networks and pays special attention to robust and fault-tolerant approaches. The book discusses robustness and fault tolerance in the context of model predictive control, fault accommodation and reconfiguration, and iterative learning control strategies. Expanding on its theoretical deliberations the monograph includes many case studies demonstrating how the proposed approaches work in practice. The most important features of the book include: a comprehensive review of neural network architectures with possible applications in system modelling and control; a concise introduction to robust and fault-tolerant control; step-by-step presentation of the control approaches proposed; an abundance of case studies illustrating the important steps in designing robust and fault-tolerant control; and a large number of figures and tables facilitating the performance analysis of the control approaches described. The material presented in this book will be useful for researchers and engineers who wish to avoid spending excessive time in searching neural-network-based control solutions. It is written for electrical, computer science and automatic control engineers interested in control theory and their applications. This monograph will also interest postgraduate students engaged in self-study of nonlinear robust and fault-tolerant control.

Preface to Second Edition From the time that the original edition was published in 1985, multidimensional systems theory has matured into a discipline of research and teaching with an expanding array of applications. The international journal on Multidimensional Systems and Signal Processing, founded in 1990, is now in its fourteenth year. A biannual international workshop on n-D systems was launched in 1998 and the impressive number of special sessions, mini-symposia, monographs and special issues that have emerged bear testimony to the growing popularity and importance of the subject -matter among scientists in various disciplines including engineering, computer science, geophysics and mathematics. This second edition builds on the fundamentals expounded in the original book with the addition of important developments in theory as well as practice since 1985. Particular attention has been given to the consolidation of basic results, uni fication of theory and the diversification of applications. Chapters that remain have been reordered and updated in content and references. Some chapters, considered to be somewhat outdated, have been replaced with newer proven as well as poten tially significant results, inspired by some groundbreaking research and directions which are likely to stimulate further research. In addition to the description of some challenging open problems, posed in 1985, which have since been solved, new problems yet to be tackled are also included.
