In 2015, there were roughly 10.4 million patient visits to doctors' offices because of common knee injuries such as fractures, dislocations, sprains, and ligament tears. It is one of the most common problems affecting the muscles and joints of the body after back and neck pain, and is the most common site of pain and disability in the upper and lower pain and disability in the upper and lower limbs. The knee is often one of the most problematic areas of the body, whether you're focused on long distance running, sports that require plenty of cutting and sharp lateral movement, heavy lifting, or any activity that's hard on the legs. The wellbeing of your knees and the muscles around them are an essential part of your fitness goals, even if keeping them strong and supple isn’t necessarily part of your program. Even people who are not involved in heavy fitness activities can develop knee pain. The truth is that if you’ve never felt any kind of knee pain whatsoever, the chances are good that as you grow older, you will. Our bodies tend to lose muscle and bone mass as we age, and we become more susceptible to the aches and pains that may result. When we injure the knee in some way, it naturally stops working as it should. It won’t bend fully or pull quite as forcefully. That makes it hard to pick something up from the floor or pull something down from overhead. Spending hours in front of the computer becomes torture. Lifting groceries out of the car and carrying them into the house becomes an ordeal. New grandparents can’t stand up comfortably to hold the baby. But neither the weakness nor the pain is inevitable. The knee can be fixed, and the pain can go away. First, there’s a systematic way to cure the weakness and ends the pain. But there’s also a way to prevent problems to begin with, so that you never have to lose the strength, stability, and range of motion of the knee at all. In Fix My Knee, George Demirakos shows readers how to do both. For anyone with knees, this book will show you how to keep them healthy and strong, and what to do when things go wrong.

This is a bite-sized book loaded with valuable but easily digestible (*1) content telling you how I vastly improved my knee health. *1 - "easily digestible" is a pun that you will understand after you've read this book! You will not find this information on the web, I searched for it and never found it! This bite-sized book tells you what I did to make a huge positive difference to my knee health and to my quality of life. This may also work for hips, spine/back, fingers and shoulder joints etc. I know with certainty this worked for my knees, and I suspect it will work for other joints - it must be worth having a look for yourself.I wish someone (perhaps my Doctor!) had shared this knowledge with me years ago - as it has made a huge positive difference to my life. My knees were continually painful - that is no longer the case. My knees seriously reduced my mobility every single day - that is no longer the case. This bite-sized book will get straight to the point - it is not full of padding and waffle. You can read it in one sitting if you want to.It tells you how I carefully experimented with lots of different foods as well as food supplements, multivitamins, joint care supplements and some other very important factors before I found a combination that was not only easy to follow but also radically improved my bad knees. When my knees were bad I was in pain every day, and even in pain when lying in bed. I struggled to walk from one room to another. Today I go days on end without even thinking about my knees! I go for walks, I cycle, I even dig in my garden - in short I've got my life back! When I feel my knee problems returning it is because I've stopped doing the simple things I know I should be doing (the things you will know about after reading this book). So, to get back to a good state is simple, I go back to doing things right! This short book will tell you what I found works for me and it won't waste your time telling you the details of what doesn't, or how I worked out which is which. I'm aiming for low on waffle, high on useful information here.Whether you buy this bite-sized book for yourself, a friend, a relative or even an acquaintance - the valuable knowledge here can be digested today in a single sitting and then used - today! [bad knees, weak knees, joint pain, knee pain, stiff knees, painful knee, mobility, knee health, joint pain relief, bad knee, arthritis, arthritic knees, bone pain, pain relief, relief from joint pain, early osteoarthritis, OA, rheumatism, knee ache, meniscus pain, aching joints, bone, ligament, cartilage, tendon, ACL, arthritic and meniscus pain, osteoporosis, chronic aches and stiffness, knees give way, pain walking].

If you're looking down at your arthritic knee and seeing only a worn-out joint with eroding cartilage, you're thinking about your knee the wrong way. There are two problems with this line of thinking. First of all, the structural changes that commonly take place in arthritis, things such as cartilage loss, meniscus tears, and bone spurs, can all be found in people with no knee pain. Consider the study that looked at 319 subjects between the ages of 25 and 74 with knee arthritis on x-ray - and found that only 47% had knee pain. Put another way, 53% of these people were walking around with knee arthritis and no pain. Yet another study looked at 49 subjects over the age of 45 with no knee pain or arthritis, and found that 76% of them had meniscus tears The second problem with focusing on the structural changes in knee arthritis is trying to figure out what's causing your pain. Most of the numerous structures in your knee have nerve pain fibers going to them, so good luck trying to pinpoint which one(s) are the exact source of your pain. In fact, about the only knee structure we can safely rule out is the articular cartilage that can be seen wearing out on x-rays Knee cartilage itself actually has no pain fibers going to it, and therefore cannot produce any pain. So what now? Treat Your Own Knee Arthritis takes a new approach to an old problem. Instead of worrying about structural problems (that studies show people can live just fine with) you will learn how to fix the functional problems found in knees with arthritis. And as the research shows again and again, if you improve functions such as the strength and proprioception of your knee, the pain goes away. Based entirely on randomized controlled trials, Treat Your Own Knee Arthritis is a simple, yet effective program that can be done in the privacy of your home with minimal cost or equipment. Exercise sheets are also provided to help guide you step-by-step through a six-week program.

A specialist in osteopathic medicine shows you how to be entirely pain-free in 12 weeks. Knee pain affects millions of Americans—and women make up the bulk of sufferers. While it is the anatomy, physiology, hormones, and habits of women that likely determine when and how knees fail, many doctors still insist on treating women’s knees like smaller versions of men’s knees. No More Knee Pain presents the first medically proven program designed especially for women. Written by Dr. George Kessler, who has helped hundreds of women heal their pain and reverse degenerative problems, this is the definitive book on female knee pain. Focusing on the structural and hormonal issues that bring about knee problems in women, No More Knee Pain will have you feeling stronger, healthier, and in much less pain within six weeks. Offering treatments for both prevention and healing, it includes straightforward information on: • What mainstream medicine offers women with knee pain—and what it doesn’t • The importance of good posture • How unbalanced hormones can take a toll on your joints and what to do about it • What to eat in order to ease joint pain • Exercise dos and don’ts • Mind-body factors • Nutritional supplements • Alternative approaches • Body mechanics, posture corrections, and knee exercises that really work—in just a few minutes a day Filled with case studies, simple exercises, and time-tested wisdom, this breakthrough book will help you say good-bye to your knee pain—and walk comfortably through the world again.
