Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Geschichte, Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Blick auf die Geschichte der Geschichtsdidaktik eröffnet dem ambitionierten Historiker ein interessantes und herausforderndes Betätigungsfeld. Der Begriff vereinigt alle Überlegungen zu Zielen, Methoden und Inhalten des Geschichtsunterrichts . Das Interesse an der Reflexion der eigenen Herkunft und Genese ist spätestens seit der Wende der 1970er Jahren ein wichtiges Element der Disziplin. Die Phase der Weimarer Republik lässt sich heute als eine der am intensivsten aufgearbeiteten Epochen geschichtsdidaktischer Diskursgeschichte bezeichnen. Diese Arbeit hat den Anspruch zu untersuchen, wie sich die Stellung der Geschichtsdidaktik von 1918 bis 1932 und die Bedeutung dieser Zeit für ihre weitere Entwicklung beurteilen lässt. Ausgehend von einer Bestandsaufnahme der institutionellen Ausprägungen sollen der Inhalt und die Reichweite der Diskussion um eine potentielle Neuorientierung didaktischer Methoden im Zentrum der Betrachtung stehen. Der Untersuchung liegt die Leitfrage zugrunde, inwieweit sich in der Zeit der Weimarer Republik eine Profilierung der Geschichtsdidaktik vollzog. Neben den Studien von B. Müller und M. Riekenberg aus den 1980er Jahren leistete vor allem J. Huhn bedeutende Beiträge zur Aufarbeitung der Weimarer Zeit in Bezug auf die Entwicklung der Geschichtsdidaktik. Die 14 Jahre zwischen Kaiserreich und Drittem Reich untersuchte er dahingehend, ob der zeitgenössische Geschichtsunterricht der Verfassungsforderung des „neuen Staates“ gerecht werden konnte. Sein Interesse galt der Untersuchung der Entwicklung der Institutionalisierung mit einem Blick auf relevante Diskussionen und tatsächliche, praktische Konsequenzen der Geschichtsdidaktik auf den Schulunterricht aus der Weimarer Zeit. Als Verfasser der aktuellsten Arbeiten sind J. Rohlfes und W. Hasberg repräsentativ. Letzterer bemängelt, dass sich immer noch viel zu wenige Arbeiten als geschichtsdidaktisch charakteristisch beschreiben lassen, weil sie historisch-empirische Forschungsdimensionen nicht überwinden und es nicht schaffen, das tatsächliche Geschichtsbewusstsein in der Gesellschaft zur Maxime der Erkenntnis zu erheben .
