"Life Expectancy scared me, then woke me up, and then excited me about my future. This book is the manifesto of the Boomer generation. Author William Keiper does not spare us our mortality, our ignorance, our insolvency, our laziness, our immaturity, or our lack of imagination. This truth hurts. But it is the very truth that can set our generation free." Steve Chandler, author of Time Warrior The American economic game and the associated stakes have substantially changed over the past couple of years. With seventy-plus million children of the baby boom years moving through the age of sixty-five, many of us find ourselves in a precarious situation at just the "wrong" time in our lives. We are facing the new NON-RETIREMENT. If we don't wake up to the new reality and do it soon, at some point in the not too distant future we could be blindsided by learning how insecure our futures could be. Those who can grasp the significance of the shift that has occurred and who can take purposeful and timely actions in response to it; will get the best of the available options. Life Expectancy delivers the truth for those in the boomer generation who assumed they could be passive non-participants in life for their last twenty or so years. This book is for those who have decided that the continuation of the status quo can't or won't be tolerated. And like so many before, this kind of disruptive environment holds significant opportunities to thrive. Even if everything is going well for you at the moment, if you haven't changed your approach in a while, that is a good reason to do it. It is never too late to be more proactive in the creation that is the rest of your life.

Outside of a crisis or emergency in your business, it is your choice to act with "first responder" urgency. In The Power of Urgency learn how to apply this kind of focus and commitment to your most important goals and objectives. It is THE way to shift a non-working status quo to something that serves your objectives. Why can The Power of Urgency give you the best system you may ever find for solving your biggest challenges? Because it is the fastest. If you can choose between a system that works when applied over a long period of time and one that works right now, which do you want? Me too. From bestselling author Steve Chandler: "When I first met Will Keiper, I thought he had a bit of a problem. He wasn't a very good compromiser. His preference was to challenge "go-along-to-get-along" company cultures and people. He was a man on the move and he sometimes came off as impatient. Some called him "brutally honest"—with the emphasis on the "brutal" part. He would call it getting to the "obvious truth." I later learned that what he had wasn't a problem at all. He had a special kind of objectivity and sense of urgency that was his alone. It was how he knew to be most effective. He preferred results—and rapidly. It was clear he had found amazing strength and enlightenment on the other side of his warrior's sword. He had found his true calling as a genius change agent for-hire specializing in very rapid reversals of fortune. From failure to success, from stuck to moving, from broke to prosperous. He could go into a company, bring his own brand of applied urgency to its most challenging problems, turn things around for the better—and leave before they knew what hit them. Don't you wish we could all do that? Or, at the very least, have access to Will's brain to turn our own problems around that quickly? Prayer answered! This book is proof that you can bottle this stuff. At least Will Keiper can, because as far as I know only he understands how to do this. I've spent my life studying systems that work to change businesses and lives. There aren't many that work, but this is one that does—maybe even the best one."

This book renders advice to overweight youngsters who would like to hopefully increase their longevity and have as much enjoyment and fulfillment out of life as possible. Young people arent aware of the serious mental and physical impact of obesity, as it is not just an adult problem. I present an honest and commonsense approach on how to eat healthy while keeping some satisfaction in life. I provide many recommendations that deal with real-life situations and truths instead of phony imaginations, present conclusions based on my having personally performed over 1,500 autopsies, and relate my own disgusting consequences of having developed atherosclerotic disease from being over four hundred pounds for over thirty years. In this book, I detail a very strict but ideal diet program that even a child can follow that resulted in my losing 272 pounds over a ten-month period, and whereby my continued adherence has allowed me to be able to maintain this weight. I offer advice on how to prevent some of the problems that I encountered by following such a rigorous diet. I also provide some very inexpensive and easy-to-prepare low-calorie recipes that I concocted that are good appetizers and filler-uppers. While writing in my usual witty satire manner, I discuss some potentially dangerous situations that exist, explain why certain drugs should be avoided at all costs, and mention several foods that should be eliminated from a young persons diet. I provide some of my own little homemade poems along the way so that I can keep the youngsters mind occupied and interested in what I have to say. Through my experiences as having served as coroner, I disclose many hazards that exist all around us and mention some simple things that young people tend to forget that, too often, result in unnecessary deaths. Also, by making overweight and diabetic adolescents aware of certain chemical reactions that are continuously occurring inside our bodies, hopefully they would be in a better position to understand and interpret my suggestions. So in brief, I have something to offer all my young readers from the most extrememy diet planto the most realistic and conservative. In a nutshell, I lived through what I now warn others about, since I found out too late what obesity could do to our body. Also, I explain why obesity is not just an adult problem and discuss both the teenage drug problem and the scare involving sexual diseases among our youths.

OCCUPY ME is about freedom, it will not only help the reader break free from a bad habit, it will release you from verbal cage. Some believe they can't avoid the destructive path, even when they knew the result. They are trapped into a self-defeating mindset--"I know I'm doomed, but what can I do about it?" Of course you can break free but not until they able to see through the mind games they play. We play this game because once we break out of the verbal cage; we will have to admit that we had the power to do it all along. That scares; a person who frees himself from a habit that has occupied his life for years can be terrified of having to admit that he wasted a large part of his life. This book promotes HNH. It's easier to move-on a Healthy New Habit than to get rid of the old one. Trying too hard to break free is a recipe for failure. As long as you're focused on the Old Habit, you're like a soldier fighting with one hand tied behind his back. It will take you back and forth to refocus you on the moment.

From a leading pediatric sleep physician comes a revolutionary program that will have everyone in the house sleeping through the night. When Dr. Craig Canapari became a father, he realized that all his years of 36-hour hospital shifts didn't even come close to preparing him for the sleep deprivation that comes with parenthood. The difference is that parents don’t get a break—it’s hard to know if there’s a night of uninterrupted sleep anywhere in the foreseeable future. Sleepless nights for kids mean sleepless nights for the rest of the family—and a grumpy group around the breakfast table in the morning. In It's Never Too Late to Sleep Train, Canapari helps parents harness the power of habit to chart a clear path to high-quality sleep for their children. The result is a streamlined two-step sleep training plan that focuses on cues and consequences, the two elements that shape all habits and that take on special importance when it comes to kids’ bedtime routines. Dr. Canapari distills years of clinical research and experience to make sleep training simple and stress-free. Even if you’ve been told that you’ve missed the optimal "window" for sleep training, Dr. Canapari is here to prove that it's never too late, whether your child is 6 months or 6 years old. He's on your side in the battle against bedtime, and with his advice, parents and children alike can expect a lifetime of healthy sleep.
