The book helps HR practitioners understand corporate-level concepts and their relevance to the key strategic agendas of organizations by drawing on a wide range of ideas from branding, marketing, communications, public relations and reputation management. It then examines how effective people management strategies and the role of HR specialist can contribute to this corporate agenda. This contribution lies in four key areas: organizational communications strategies, developing compelling employee value propositions and employer branding; HR strategies, employer of choice policies and talent management; creating new forms of psychological contracts and building stronger individual-organizational linkages through employee identification, employee commitment and psychological ownership; and in developing supportive employee behaviors. The book is based on a new model of the links between HR, corporate reputation and branding, developed from an extensive review and synthesis of different bodies of management literature. This model has been refined from extensive case research and practical experience in building corporate reputations and brands. Specially researched cases include Orange, Aegon, Scottish Enterprise, Hudson International, BSkyB, Standard Life Investments and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Hrm And Marketing Orientation In The New Era written by Panagiotis Kyriazopoulos and has been published by Nova Science Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013 with Human capital categories.

This text is devoted to the role of human resources in todays post-industrial era. As we leave the 2nd Industrial Revolution, we are entering the 3rd Industrial Revolution, which is characterised as 'the information society and network age'. In this time of transition, in some countries, human resource is often seen as software that can be amended at relative ease in order to achieve the optimum cost, whereas other countries theorize that it resembles more of a piece of hardware that cannot be upgraded but only replaced. These aspects are covered in this book, and addressed through research by the authors in individual subject areas.

Effective Human Resource Management In The Sales Force written by Rene Y. Darmon and has been published by Praeger this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1992-10-23 with Business & Economics categories.

This non-conventional book provides a human resource perspective to sales force management. It describes sales forces as complex systems of human interactions and shows how a decision in one area is likely to have direct, but also more or less desirable and lasting effects, on other aspects of the sales force. Managing human resources is no simple task, and in a sales force context, the difficulty is compounded by the fact that managers often have limited control and knowledge of what salespeople do once in the field. The book addresses most sales force human resource decisions by contrasting prevalent industry practices with relevant research findings that could bear on sales force management and by showing how a simple managerially oriented tool can capture much of the sales force system's complexity. Special attention is devoted to such questions as how to identify top sales producers; how to generate candidates from the best sources of salespeople; how to select and hire the best sales producers; how to enhance and maintain sales effectiveness over time; how to set up effective compensation and sales quota plans; and how to manage sales force turnover. This book will help sales managers and supervisors to take a more integrated view to sales management. It can also help salespeople to be more effective in their tasks and to prepare them for a career in management.

Use Of Market Data In The Recruitment Of High Potentials written by Jan Posthumus and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-06-18 with Business & Economics categories.

In his study, Jan Posthumus uses the grounded theory method to explore the implementation of marketing instruments such as segmentation and targeting in the recruitment of high potentials in the pharmaceutical industry. The implementation of these instruments can best be understood as the result of an interaction between four categories: the identified internal need for certain groups of high potentials; the scarcity of these groups of high potentials in the market; the attitudes, opinions, and strategies within human resources; and the technological capabilities. Depending on the situation, different recruitment instruments are used to recruit high potentials. However, the interviewees did not use an explicit high potential recruitment profile, though they implicitly search for varying combinations of high-potential characteristics such as: intelligence and agility, engagement, the ability to perform in various environments, and the ability to manage one’s energy levels.
