The International Yearbook of Futurism Studies was founded in 2009, the centenary year of Italian Futurism, in order to foster intellectual cooperation between Futurism scholars across countries and academic disciplines. The Yearbook does not focus exclusively on Italian Futurism, but on the relations between Italian Futurism and other Futurisms worldwide, on artistic movements inspired by Futurism, and on artists operating in the international sphere with close contacts to Italian or Russian Futurism. Volume 4 (2014) is an open issue that addresses reactions to Italian Futurism in 16 countries (Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Japan, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, USA), and in the artistic media of photography, theatre and visual poetry.

Operazione resistente a una definizione univoca, oscillante com'è tra traduzione e scrittura ex novo e autonoma, lo statuto dell'autore e la natura del testo che ne sortisce e persino il termine autotraduzione sono stati messi variamente in discussione. È fuori dubbio, dunque, la problematicità del tema, così come la sua interdisciplinarità; altrettanto indiscutibili sono, invece, nella geografia e storia dell'autotraduzione: la vastità dei domini, dalla letteratura alla trattatistica di ogni genere; la vitalità fin dall'antico; l'universalità, che chiama in campo le più varie combinazioni linguistiche, dialetti inclusi; oltre, naturalmente, alle escursioni tra forme di comunicazione diverse, linguaggi verbali e non verbali e multimediali. Nel mondo contemporaneo nuovi fattori hanno massicciamente esteso e rivestito di significati inediti le occasioni e le necessità d'uso della lingua degli altri, dando vita a nuove diglossie e nuovi bi(e pluri)linguismi che possono talvolta intersecarsi con l'esperienza della costrizione e della autotraduzione forzata. Si tratta, principalmente, delle esperienze maturate nel mondo della migrazione, a cui la storia dell'autotraduzione guarda attualmente con grande interesse. L'invito lanciato dal CRC LIDIA (Centro di Ricerca Coordinata dell'Ateneo di Milano sulle lingue d’adozione) per una nuova riflessione sull'autotraduzione è stato raccolto dagli autori dei contributi di questo volume, che prende in esame nuovi casi disposti sopra un asse cronologico lungo e variegato, spaziando tra realtà geografiche assai lontane tra loro. Esta publicación quiere proponer un acercamiento diferente al estudio de la Literatura Italiana que permita profundizar temas de literatura y traducción, relacionados con el género, como la rescritura del canon, la recuperación de autoras olvidadas, la interpretación y análisis de los tex-tos. La publicación de estos resultados en una editorial de impacto como la de la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia permitirá su difusión y su visibilidad entre el profesorado y el alumnado de diferentes universidades españolas y extranjeras. Contemporáneamente, se quiere crear un material didáctico en varios idiomas que pueda permitir al profesorado proponer nuevas temáticas de estudio e investigación, relacionadas con escritoras y escritores filóginos durante su actividad docente.

Yet a rich body of translingual literature -- by authors who write in more than one language or in a language other than their primary one -- exists. The Translingual Imagination is a pioneering study of the phenomenon, which is as ancient as the use of Arabic, Latin, Mandarin, Persian, and Sanskrit as linguae francae. Colonialism, war, mobility, and the aesthetics of alienation have combined to create a modern translingual canon. Opening with an overview of this vast subject, Steven G. Kellman then looks at the differences between ambilinguals -- those who write authoritatively in more than one language -- and monolingual translinguals -- those who write in only one language but not their native one.
