Nonlinear Model Predictive Control written by Lars Grüne and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-04-11 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Nonlinear Model Predictive Control is a thorough and rigorous introduction to nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) for discrete-time and sampled-data systems. NMPC is interpreted as an approximation of infinite-horizon optimal control so that important properties like closed-loop stability, inverse optimality and suboptimality can be derived in a uniform manner. These results are complemented by discussions of feasibility and robustness. NMPC schemes with and without stabilizing terminal constraints are detailed and intuitive examples illustrate the performance of different NMPC variants. An introduction to nonlinear optimal control algorithms gives insight into how the nonlinear optimisation routine – the core of any NMPC controller – works. An appendix covering NMPC software and accompanying software in MATLAB® and C++(downloadable from www.springer.com/ISBN) enables readers to perform computer experiments exploring the possibilities and limitations of NMPC.

Predictive Control For Spacecraft Rendezvous written by Afonso Botelho and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-06-24 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This brief addresses the design of model predictive control algorithms for performing space rendezvous manoeuvres. It consolidates developments within guidance and control algorithms, with the aim of improving the efficiency, safety, and autonomy of these manoeuvres. The brief presents several applications of model predictive control to rendezvous manoeuvres, including Ankersen zero-order-hold particular solution1, which provides a realistic thrust profile. It offers new approaches for rendezvous manoeuvres in elliptical orbits, formulating obstacle avoidance constraints, passive safety constraints, and robustness techniques. It also compares finite-horizon and variable-horizon formulations for model predictive control in the context of performance and computational complexity. Predictive Control for Spacecraft Rendezvous is accessible to academics and students new to the topics of orbital rendezvous and model predictive control, but also presents compelling subject matter for researchers and professionals in the aerospace industry.

L1 Adaptive Control Theory written by Naira Hovakimyan and has been published by SIAM this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-01-01 with Science categories.

This book presents a comprehensive overview of the recently developed L1 adaptive control theory, including detailed proofs of the main results. The key feature of the L1 adaptive control theory is the decoupling of adaptation from robustness. The architectures of L1 adaptive control theory have guaranteed transient performance and robustness in the presence of fast adaptation, without enforcing persistent excitation, applying gain-scheduling, or resorting to high-gain feedback.

Automated Drug Delivery in Anesthesia provides a full review of available tools and methods on the drug delivery of anesthesia, bridging the gap between academic development, research and clinical practice. The book takes an interdisciplinary approach, pulling information about tools developed in other disciplines such as mathematics, physics, biology and system engineering and applying them to drug delivery. The book's authors discuss the missing element of complete regulatory loop of anesthesia: the sensor and model for pain pathway assessment. This is the only book which focuses specifically on the delivery of anesthesia. - Revisits the standard TCI anesthesia regulatory loop - Provides complementary measurement devices and protocols for hypnosis, analgesia and neuromuscular blockade (the three components for anesthesia) - Describes the link between existing and emerging tools

Systems Biology written by Bernhard Ø. Palsson and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-01-16 with Science categories.

Genome sequences are now available that enable us to determine the biological components that make up a cell or an organism. The discipline of systems biology examines how these components interact and form networks, and how the networks generate whole cell functions corresponding to observable phenotypes. This textbook, devoted to systems biology, describes how to model networks, how to determine their properties, and how to relate these to phenotypic functions. The prerequisites are some knowledge of linear algebra and biochemistry. Though the links between the mathematical ideas and biological processes are made clear, the book reflects the irreversible trend of increasing mathematical content in biology education. Therefore to assist both teacher and student, in an associated website Palsson provides problem sets, projects and Powerpoint slides, and keeps the presentation in the book concrete with illustrative material and experimental results.
